Being a Hawthorn fan i may be a little bias believing you need Franklin in your team. But you need those types of players in your side that can produce 150+ scores.

Slim pickings on the mid range defenders. I've loaded up on $420> defenders. Only defender i have at the moment that is under 372K and isn't a rookie is A.Otten 185K. The mid range forwards are better value in my opinion.

Hmm...that's a tough one to answer. As i already have Otten and Heppell in my defence. Only Defender between 200>372 i could consider is J.Adcock.

Maybe you could go with C.Rioli and J.Grimes. Though i'd prefer Buddy than C.Rioli. Maybe make a change elsewhere to free up a coin if you have no structures in place.

Most certainly.
cyril will be on the improve and IMO, while he won't give you the huge scores Buddy with he could finish with a similar average. Grimes should be great if he can stay fit, should get midfield minutes.
Atley should play games early. Or at least, we hope :P

They're risks you need to take. Look at N.Malceski and B.Waters in 2010.

I have four starting rookies, three returning from major injury + krakouer.

Have a rookie play round one keep the 4 premium defenders and have toy coad or stanley from the gc come onto the ground i believe all 3 will rise to 260+ with one being 320+ not sure which one tho

I don't see too many options under that price other than adcock and otten...stick with option 2 imo
