Hey all,

A Canadian having my second crack at DT this year.  Did alright last year finishing 6th in a league of 16, but getting knocked out first round of finals.  Let me know what you think of these boys:

DEF: Goddard, Gibbs, Waters, Carrazzo, Adcock, Otten, Faulks
Toy, Duigan, Cripps

MID: Ablett, Pendelbury, Bartel, Vince, D. Swallow, Houlihan
Heppell, Atley, Wallis

RUC: Sandilands, Ryder
R. Campbell, Derickx

FWD: N. Riewoldt, Didak, Sylvia, J. Brown, J. Riewoldt, Petrie, Krakouer
C. Richardson, Mzungu, Matera

Also any good unique picks? Last year someone on this forum put me onto James McDonald and hekilled it for the first half of the season (until injured).  I went with Vince this year, anyone else?

There are a few uniques every where, just need to find them. Everybody sees players differently ;).

Backs do carry a little risk. Waters coming off his breakout year and has niggles every now again. Could pick up his game if the Eagles lift so one to watch for. Carrazzo is a DT Gun but his tagging tole is affecting his scores :(.

Midfield is quite strong. Vince as a potential premium could work well seeing as he might have to lead from in front at the Crows. But could also mean he gets the tag. Watch the NAB Cup for how he goes. That Tim Houlihan from the Eagles? If so, don't know much about him.

Like the Rucks pair. But if you are going for a League win, Keep an eye out on byes and the teams that fall in the finals for DT (Essendon have a bye in the DT Grand Final). Also, Campbell at Melbourne I think. Don't think he'll feature much with Jamar there and them trying to grow another rookie (e.g Gawn, Fitzpatrick, etc). I reckon Campbell was brought in to be a mentor for them but could be wrong.

I like the forwards. JRoo a nice unique. If he can continue from last year he should be a solid pick.

Ya I had JRoo last year and it worked out well.  Figured he's be good to have on an improving Richmond team.

Any thoughts on who would be a good swap for Carrazo? (if he's a risk of being a tagger.)  Other guys in that price range include Shaw, Russell, Birchall, Hargrave, etc.  Or I could splash out a bit of cash and put in Malceski or S. Fisher/Gram, that would leave me with $20k left in the bank.

I think Carrots could survive as a tagger as he's use to the DT game (likes finding the ball even though he doesn't use it well). Had to get use to the role last season but if tried again as one this season, could do well and find the ball still (like Kane Cornes).

Just a little warning, look at Hargrave's stats ;). And look at his age when he had his breakout year in '09. People seemed to ignore that....
