One trade or Two???

Ok guys, here are my options. 14 Trades left, Hille just injured. I can do a straight swap for any ruckman other than Cox (I know, I know, i should have had him to begin with, I will never learn), or can downgrade Robinson to Barham, and used the extra little bit of cash to get Cox and leave me with $30K in the bank.

Yeah I will wait until Friday to do any trades, learnt that lesson the hard way last year. Only second year so still getting me head around things. Must stop using trades!!

Nath, u have forgotten a very important piece of info- who is your other ruckmen? If Hille was your #1 ruck, then yes get Cox. BUT if u can still generate 150+ from your other ruckmen and a straight swap from Hille then u should go OK without Cox...

Whoever u choose as a straight swap from Hille will be getting u 20-40 points less then Cox.

Look at it like this, what would u rather have:
1) An extra trade
2) Another 20-40 points + extra captain option

COX is on fire! He will play and score well for the remainder as is his wont.  Things to consider though, Cox is Vs Sandy this week and could get pumped or he may be the pumper, my own gut feeling is that Sandilands is gonna be Red Hot considering Freo's Cherry popping effort last week, and could restrict Deans output.  Not sure of BE's.  Another variable that might affect Cox's scoring is the possible inclusion of young Naitanui? Will he ruck and perhaps take game time/points away from the big fella? If you have a possible sub maybe hold off for a bit. Also blowing your dough on Coxy could be detrimental future trading.  Too many variables, I reckon if in doubt hold off for a bit.

Other options for a straight trade, cox is on fire but i reckon with 14 trades left need to save for those hard weeks.

Maybe you could get H Mac or Jolly

na man they are simply not options as he would be really disadvantaged in getting them so expensively as they have started the year off well. look to get a ruckman that has lost value and is just starting to pick up his form as i think everyone who doesnt have jolly and h mac already has missed the boat (unfortunatly).

yer i no doubt agree with the option of the one trade to a lesser ruckmen than cox, but u cant pick up players whose prices are peaking that is a mistake i made too many times last year and really paid for it.

1. you lose a lot of money
2. they are likely to lose form while they players who start average are likely to have a better 2nd half of season anyhow.

Doing fairly well with captain options, have Gablett, Kornes, Gibbs, Chappy, Didak, Goddard etc and unless Gabletts injured he would be staying as my captain so thats not really a concern. So if im thinking of trading in a ruck other than Cox whose price isnt peaking then who should I be looking at??

you only have 14 trades left.. i think making 2 trades to get cox is not worth it. even though i already have him to begin with, but i think you need to be carefull with trading too much too quick

i agree yes kruezer is an option as he will score nicely.

There is a definite lack of options in the premium ruck department currently, i would probably say it is out of kruezer and mcintosh mate. ive just had a look and i think maybe hmac hasnt peaked yet so would still be a good option i would steer clear of tippet tho.

Okay I've decided to trade Hille for McIntosh, which will leave me with 13 trades and $87,000 in the bank.
The other thing I was thinking about doing was trading out Robinson for Hartlett, as not sure if he will play again any time soon and is worth holding on to. That would leave me 12 trades and $102,000. Not sure whether that trade is worth doing though, opinions??????
