The Demons benefited from a lively workout in Thursday's intra-club match at Gosch's Paddock but it came at a cost with forward Ricky Petterd straining a hamstring.

The 22-year-old, who's on the comeback from a shoulder reconstruction which restricted him to just six senior appearances last season, hobbled from the field in the second quarter.

Petterd spent the remainder of the match - contested over four 20-minute periods - on the bench with his left thigh heavily bandaged.

"I'm not sure whether the doc's calling it a grade one, so hopefully it's a bit of back-related stuff, but we'll treat it as a hamstring," said senior coach Dean Bailey.

I think this has just confirmed that i can never pick this guy in any of my fantasy teams ever again. Hes just to injury prone.

I don't know if this injury will set him back too much according to the article, so he may be still a good pick up.

it may not set him back to much... but ir still proves that he gets injured a lot... and i need players that are on the field all the time, not sitting on the bench with a niggle every third week

+1.
I need to try and stay away from injury prone players this season, I risked it in the past and they burned me, this year, Higgins (my boy :P) is the only exception.
