Queensland is going down the pipes! Anyone else worried that they will float away like tasmania?????

Justin Bieber

To float away like Tasmania would be crazy :o.

Alex7089

Not really.
Got to feel sorry for them, first the floods now a category 5 cyclone :o

Justin Bieber

Have to have sympathy no doubt but would take for something massive to tear the land apart for it to be able to do so.

BratPack

You do have to feel sorry. I think all Cat 5 Cyclones should just be called "The Motherflowerer"

Hawka

my uncle had to go up ther to have cancer surgery, he took his pet birds and was strictly told to leave them behind.

and every other pet for that matter, everyone evacuated and pets were left to fend for themselves.

And the put the cyclon on victoria and it covered all of it.

Justin Bieber

Sad to hear Hilly :'(. Feel for the pets, as well as those who had to lose them :'(.

6.6m Wave hit Townsville so it has started :(.

Anna Bligh really has impressed me thus far in her media and operational responsiveness to this crisis.
I know I am a long way away but I have lived through cyclones in Darwin (nothing ever like this) and her leadership is showing through and action plans happening very quickly.
When I was in Darwin we did not have the technology we do today to warn us of the severity and probable impact zones and the naive attitude of 'she'll be right' was everywhere.

Stay safe Lenore, Stewart, Danielle, Craigy boy and families (in Townsville) and Stewy get the boat out of the shed, you might need it. Hearts are with you guys, love ya  :-*
