2nd year DT'er

Right, so this is my 2nd year in DT, and I kind of feel like everything I learnt has been thrown out the window with the bye rounds :P

Here's my first attempt:

Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Adcock, Otten, Heppel, (Retzlaff, Toy, Puopolo)
Swan Montagna, Bartel, Watson, Swallow, Gaff (Harris, Jacobs, Hibberd)
Sandilands, Jolly (Hale, Smith)
Chapman, Didak, Pavlich, Zaharakis, Petrie, Krakouer, Prestia (Talia, Mzungu, Tapscott)
Left: $2,800.

Any suggestions, or am I on the right track?

do you know what? I've already changed my mind on Watson :P Too many bombers ;)

looks alright, typcal back line like many on FF.
Solid midfield though i would have Harris onfield.
strong ruck, though Hale is a waste of casg, you should get Max Bailey who plays for Hwks aswell.
Fwd line is way to weak so hopefully with the downgrade you could upgrade Zaharakis.
And yes you should move Watto or other essedon players, you have a few.
Generally in DT i likee to have 100k left in the kitty before season start, which can be used for future upgrades.

Here's my 2nd rejig :P

DEF: Goddard, Lake, Deledio, Broughton, Adcock, Otten, Heppell (Jacobs, Toy, Duigan)
MID: Swan, Montagna, Bartel, Scully, Foley, Harris (Gaff, Mzungu, Hibberd)
RUC: Ryder, Petrie (Smith, Bailey)
FWD: Franklin, Green, Gian, Pavlich, Zaharakis, Knights, Prestia (Tapscott, Richardson, Darling)
Cash: $44,900

Midfield is a little experimental. I may drop Foley for Swallow and Scully for Judd/Hodge, but I'm a little wary of having to rely on players from GC in 1 position (Swallow/Harris).
Same with the forward line. I could drop knights for Krak, and upgrade Zaharakis.

My other consideration is maybe Lake for Gibbs in the backline?

I'm trying to make my whole team a bit more unique, while not being too way out.

jacobs has glandular feaver and will prob miss most of the year... so you might consider getting a different rookie?

I guess :P I hung on to Shuey last year for way too long with his Glandular fever ;)

I think the rookies will become more concrete after the NAB cup, so I'm not too worried about that for now.
