budwig will avg more, cyril will make more money though IMO

buddy for me as he has that x factor about him and he can score well a massive but rioli is a good player but franklin

Rioli for me for sure! Has much more upside and hence potential value. Will being moving into the midfield so there are definite reasons he will go up in price. Buddy would be doing his job if he stayed the same.

The club view him as the next Ablett, but better because he has an amazing defensive game and are developing him as such.

Apparently the biggest hurdle he has to get over is self belief, apparently he thinks he is average.

Rioli is a better grab overall i think

read a good book called the draft, apparently rioli as a junior would not knock back anything but backed out without telling anyone, might be part of this issue.

Buddwood  8)

On goal scoring potential alone will he average more.

i've been saying and thinking delicious over buddy, but after hearing buddy has had a good preseason, and hawks do have some midfielders atm buddy gets the nod over cyril for me. but i'd pick cyril in a heartbeat but not on the same line as buddy. big year looms for buddy franklin, and the hawks for that matter - they are a very dangerous threat to the pies

im picking cyril.. only cause ive never had him and feel like an adventurous year :D

Hi all I'm new in these parts (long time lurker) but I thought it's about time I started contributing something back.

My take is that Cyril almost picks himself over Buddy for a few reasons. Obviously there's the MPP link which is huge this year. Secondly, at some point Buddy will probably get suspended because he's a bit of an angry man. It will likely be a decent number of games as I'm sure he has points hanging over his head too (can anyone confirm?). For that reason, assuming neither misses through injury and all ofther factors being equal, even if they both maintain their average from 2010, Cyril will net you more points.

Also, for what it's worth, I can Cyril lifting his average to about 110ppg and Buddy to about 115ppg so that's a 16ppg vs 8ppg increase. But really, my choice between these two will probably come down to whether or not I think Buddy will rub himself out for a month or so. I reckon he will.

mate cyril is a forward only.
things to remember at hawks atm - we are getting cyril simply as midfield time looms. but that midfield now consists of: mitchell, hodge, sewell, bruce, burgoyne, lewis, bateman.
look cyril is better than some of these guys but he aint ur bread and butter midfielder like a few of these guys. hff is a great possie for cyril from hawks POV using the space which buddy will create.
i don;t think buddy will get 'wiped out' for a month either!! i would say he is aware that the hawks are on a good wicket again this year and he'll be too busy kicking goals to worry about the chirp from opponents. he got done for a few crappy nothing in it bumps last year, take out the bump and unless he loses it he'll be right.
uninterupted pre season for buddy - booyea! i'll take buddy u guys go cyril

Ooops  :-[ my bad, for some reason I thought he was F/M. In truth, despite what I said, I'm more drawn to picking Buddy but I still feel that he will miss more games than Cyril but my head tells me that Junior is the safer pick. Then again, you don't take home the prize being totally safe. I love this time of year, so much conjecture and so many unknowns.

atm ill be going buddy. Good preseason apparently and can pull out the monster scores. hopefully continues his consistent 2010
