I hear Geelong are going to play a defensive style game next year under new coach Scott. Is this just another reason to stay away from premium geelong players this year.

MTTY

I wouldnt think so teams like Collingwood and St.Kilda play very defensive game styles and God and Swan still pump out massive scores

FLOPITOUT1

Agreed but im thinking stevie j and chappy stlye players may be affected

I will definitely be playing Joel Selwood if you dub him as a premium (Y)
his a pretty solid player and find he hardly ever lets you down

FLOPITOUT1

Oops forgot about selwood lol excluding jimmy and selwood wouldnt argue with having either

A defensive team may increase some players DT points potential

Defensive just means more cheap posis!

Serenity

Defensive means keepies off. May mean more possessions if they are able to play that way, look at Bowden, he could, but where is he now. Geelong fans won't stand for that.

I was under the impression that this new 'game plan' geelong are attempting to implement was to update their tactics when not in possession of the ball.
Hunting in packs, serious amount of tackling pressure .. etc etc.
Leaving the offensive dt friendly style of game in place.

I think with Bomber as an assistant we'll see a similar geelong type of game plan.
