Let me begin by saying this is not my DT side, rather it is an adaptation of my SC side. I have previously posted a reverse team trying to adapt DT players to SC which rated 5/10, as expected. :P
Can a good SC side be a good DT though? Here's what I came up with...

McSuper Dream Team Fanplanner squad in the Dream Team competition coached by McRooster. Salary cap left: $25,000.

Bryce Gibbs, Brett Deledio, Shannon Hurn, Josh Drummond, Andy Otten, Ben Jacobs, Michael Coad
Nicholas Duigan, Michael Hibberd, Christian Howard

Dane Swan, Matthew Boyd, Brendon Goddard, Matthew Pavlich, David Swallow, Andrew Gaff
Dyson Heppell, Andrew Krakouer, Luke Parker

Aaron Sandilands, Dean Cox
Zac Smith, Max Bailey

Lance Franklin, Brad Green, Nick Riewoldt, Cyril Rioli, Ricky Petterd, Drew Petrie, Alan Didak
Dion Prestia, Cameron Richardson, Jack Darling

Please feel free to disect the theory or to take from it what you will, I hope any responses can help those venturing into DT from SC for the first time adapt their sides.

All players in the team are in most dream teams except for Hurn and Drummond, plus maybe Parker and Duigan which are uncommon rookies.

I'd say that the majority of a SC team would fit into most DT teams, although most players who are better at SC than DT are defenders, as seen in your team with Hurn adn Drummond.

I actually considered Hurn as a unique for a while in October.

Here's the players that are really significantly different - all up to N.Riewoldt are preferred in SC, all after are preferred for DT.

Interesting, also I think Rioli is more of a SC player because is 'X-Factor'
not a bad DT though.

McRooster

N.Riewoldt, Priddis and Jack in the top 33 (SC speaking)- I've only been seeing one of them in anyone's 33 player squad. ;)
The other 2 would certainly give a team a unique advantage.

as l dont really understand the scoring criterea for either......this will b my 2nd yr at sc &dt..........came top 2000 in sc and top 1600 in dt.....but think if l actually understood the nuances of the scoring systems l should b able to improve
