I realise i may be scrutinised for the midfield but with lots of MPP and a great selection in the draft this year I believe it will work.

DTDreamer

wow.

good use of MMP. but your mids are of concern.
it not just that your starting 5 rookies in the midfield but that two of them are from GC and so is one from your bench - so when GC Byes are - you will have to reply on Atley and Smith playing.
I don't mind it though but it is very risky.
Everywhere else is good - I expect it to be with such a crazy midfield.
One last thing - personally I would go Sylvia over Green, just my opinion.
Risky but may pay off - hard to rate but would have to be low 80's.

PonyMaroni

junktimer,

i created a second team last year to play around with, with a similar strategy, e.g. i 100% completely loaded up my midfield with rookies just to see what would happen, and i ended up with a much better score than my proper team... so it may just pay off, i'll be doing it again this year, just to see how it goes.

@juzzyj

very good team
There is only one concern - M.Coad.
using your extra cash try your best to upgrade him - you may need to slightly downgrade someone else to do this. Maybe downgrade Heppell to a 86k rookie then you have around 260k to spend on upgrading Coad - some maybe Adcock.

Have a look at Coad during NAB Cup - may be worth taking a punt on

Other than that good team - no real uniques though
83/100

DTDreamer

@Cicjose.

you're starting to many rookies - some I have never heard of. It's very, very risky.
If your up for the risky it's a good team.
Hard to say much else, it's risky - too risky in my opinion.
I can' really rate it because it depends on how much you're personally willing to risk.
Very good premiums though.

@pablo

I really nice team - slightly unique but still pretty stock standard.
no major concerns - but I would be wary over O'Keefe, Enright and Cox. Don;t get me wrong, all great players and all three will score 80-95 but they are a little old and their average may start slowly decreasing - nothing to be overly worried about I'm just being picky because there is nothing else to pick on.
With Cox - just have a look at him in the NAB - will still score well
Nice team, 85/100

DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, B. Deledio, G. Broughton, J. Adcock, A. Otten, C. Bolton (D. Heppell, J. Cripps, J. Brennan)
MID: D. Swan, M. Boyd, J. Corey, R. Griffen, A. Gaff, B. Jacobs (S. Iles, M. Wallis, T. Mzungu)
RUC: A. Sandilands, D. Cox (Z. Smith, J. Tippett)
FWD: P. Chapman, A. Goodes, N. Riewoldt, A. Didak, C. Knights, D. Petrie, D. Talia (J. Darling, L. Tapscott, T. Walsh)
CASH LEFT: $10,000

Does anyone have an inside word on what Talia will be like?

DTDreamer

C. Bolton is a huge concern, never averaged over 70 - he is 31 this year and doesn't have a sure spot in the Swans line-up. Downgrade him and put Heppell on the field.
I like Corey and Griffen but maybe use the extra cash to upgrade one of them - or keep it for an upgrade during the year.

Talia should get some game time this year but I'm not sure he has a full-time spot, watch him during the NAB Cup and do your best to upgrade him.

Very nice team, with some unique players but Bolton is a huge issue.
83/100 - get Bolton out and it would be 86/100

crumpetjack

Yeah Bolton was only in for a quick profit after 4-5 games. My thinking was along lines of Josh Hunt last year, hopefully bottomed out starting price but guaranteed starting spot in their teams (assuming uninjured).

I keep thinking Griffen is just too good a player to average 90ish. Surely he can start pushing into the 100s
