Hey DT , rejigged my team after ur input.....

here's the new version, can u let me know what u think....

....when uv got time that is
mpp-v2 Fanplanner squad in the Dream Team competition coached by nostrdamus. Salary cap left: $57,000.

Brendon Goddard c/b, Bryce Gibbs c/b, Brett Deledio c/b, Greg Broughton, Andrejs Everitt, Andy Otten, Dyson Heppell c/b
Josh Toy, Nicholas Duigan, Bryce Retzlaff b/f

Dane Swan, Leigh Montagna, Luke Hodge, Brent Stanton, David Swallow, Ben Jacobs c/b
Michael Hibberd c/b, Tendai Mzungu c/f, Ian Callinan c/f

Aaron Sandilands, David Hale r/f
Zac Smith, Max Bailey

Colin Sylvia c/f, Nick Riewoldt, Matthew Pavlich c/f, Jonathan Brown, Cyril Rioli, Drew Petrie r/f, Dion Prestia c/f
Brandon Matera, Cameron Richardson, Daniel Talia c/f

D. Hale is an interesting choice - not a huge fan (because of his age and new club) but he may do alright. It's risky.
Everitt is a spud - may do better this year but I can't see that happening, I think Adcock is around his price range I would perfer him but again it's up to you.
Solid team, 84/100

Agreed kick Hale out.

nostradamus

thx for the comments DT and masterQ,

my thinkin with hale(apart from mpp) is that the hawks r gunna use him like they did skipper last year.....at his age was recruited to play

and with everitt...he was headhunted by sydney, l am trustin the swannies judgment.....they're great at recyclin......heard he'd be playing malceski's role off half back this year.....
that combined with playing week in week out......could have a breakout year and b a big fat cash cow

It could happen but it's a risk but it is good to have some uniques.

over the salary cap?
Not a huge fan of Krakouer, not sure his will get heaps of games. It might just be me.
Other than that no major concerns, I prefer Petrie in the ruck rather than as a forward but it doesn't make much difference.
Solid team but I think your slightly over the salary cap..

Yeh I am but IMO we will get alot more cash because draftees and rookies won't be as much. I like krak and I can't ignore his earl form

CASH LEFT: $22,900

Would love an opinion on this PLEASE!
(first team here, second season in DT, four years out of Australia, so not up to speed on current squads)
M. Doughty - is getting pretty old (the no over 30 rule) but he may still score well (low 80's I predict)
M. Firrito, W. Thursfield are key defenders and tend to score poorly - look for half backs or backs that often play in the midfield
not sure about T. Hine - your better off starting Toy.
In your midfield - try starting more rookies - D. Swallow, Gaff, Heppell, Jacobs, Atley - these guys will make you cash and you come upgrade them later in the season.
Tippet and Henderson are both low-score key forwards - again try rookies (D. Pretia) or half forwards who often play in the midfield. If it's T.Varcoe is Travis Varcoe - he is far too expensive to be on your bench either swap for a rookie or someone under 150k or put him on the field.
Players I don't like: M. Doughty, M. Firrito, W. Thursfield, T. Hine
L. Jetta, L. GreenwoodK. Tippett, L. Henderson
Good premiums though.

Thanks DT... big re-build today.
What of this... seems a bit loaded with prems and cheapies. not sure about the rookies, if they get game time or not.

Nice team, some uniques.
I don't like Hurn and Drummond - they are at an awkward price at around 275k. Drummond is far too injury prone - he can score - but not worth the risk IMO.
Hurn may score well but it's risky - i expect he'll average are 75, maybe 80 at the most. It's better have rookies or cheaps (who make money) and premiums.
As you have Heppell and Krak on the bench - you don't need Goddard and Pav in your midfield to use the MMP. Try and get these players out of the midfield.
Great rucks.
Rioli is an interesting pick - has potential but i think he is far too innocent, it's a risk but I'm sure he'll average 85+ which is still good. It's up to you.
Nice, 84/100

Ok, easy one. Go C. Wilson to A. Otten.
Good mids! Swan is much better then Gary but it's a personal choice. He will get a big tag as he is GC one really good midfilder.
Petrie is a waste on your bench either swap him for Jolly (and downgrade Jolly to Z. Smith) or replace Henderson with Petrie.
Henderson should not be in anyones DT.
Swap Henderson for C. Knights or maybe D. Prestia and save some cash.
Not sure about R. Hicks. Trade him for either Prestia or Matera or even A. Krakouer.
Much better though!

I have won my league 4 years in a row

Very unique team but not having
Swan, Goddard, Gibbs is not good.
Henderson and Drummond aren't good picks,
Drummond is injury prone and getting old.
Henderson is a key position player who is over-priced.
I would downgrade one and upgrade the other.
Of your nine midfielders four are from GC (FAR TOO MANY), therefore when they have Byes (Round 1) you will cop a zero - no matter what.
(N. Foley, B. McLean, D. Harris) - far to expensive bench. maybe keep one but downgrade the other to rookies who will make more money.
Fraser is really old and in a new club - it's risky but up to you.
S. Day is a key-forward. D. Prestia is a mid sized forward who plays more midfield - I would go him instead.
Not a bad team. 81/100
