Bunyip has started some in depth discussion about each line, but is this our best 21?

B: JHunt, Scarlett, Milburn
HB: Enright, Taylor, Lonergan
C: Mackie, Bartel, Kelly
HF: Chapman, Mooney, SJohnson
F: Stokes, Podsiadly, Varcoe
R: Ottens, Selwood, Ling

B: Hawkins, Wojcinski, Corey
Sub: Byrnes/Menzel/THunt/Hogan

I think out Hawkins, in Byrnes.

The team just looks unbalanced with all of Pods, Mooney, Lonergan and Hawkins in it. Too much heavy hitting. Though back-up ruck is a problem.

That's where TomaHawk maybe should stay & hurts but Pods & Mooney be rotated more but that's hard also. Argh altho Ottens is a worry re injuries so that may be solved IF he re injured himself.

If Ottens got injured though, they would have to bring in a specialist like West or the other guy who's name has slipped my mind.

Blake? Hawk as pinch hitter I meant

Forgot about Blake! But wasn't the one I was thinking of :)

The ruck division is a bit of a worry at Geelong. I don't think we can assume Ottens is going to play 1st ruck for 22 rounds, it will be interesting to see what Scott's plan B is going to be, they certainly need a plan B.

West. Blake, Hawkins???

new rucks needed for geelong

As I mentioned in my summary of our ruck position, I don't think we have any real problems in that area. Ottens and Blake will probably be our ruck combo this season. We have players like Pods, Tommahawk  and even Mooney to pinch hit if needed. If Scotty doesn't like Blake or Otto gets injured we have Trent West (who can play) and Dawson Simpson waiting for a chance. Apparently Nathan Vardy is pretty handy to.
