We have another offical price
QuoteBarlow has been priced at $456,200, making him only $43,000 cheaper than Gold Coast superstar Gary Ablett.
even if he didnt break  his leg its hard to pick him at that price

+1 2nd year player rule :P

Last details I heard was that he may be ready for round 1 but most likely round 3

Price tag is extraordinary for a second year player.  Who knows, even if he does get on the park early he may have a tag to deal with. No way.

Does the 2nd year rule apply to guys like Barlow who were mature age rookies?

Yes, as their price is too high, against what they will return for you, although you could almost make an exception for Barlow. He is more than likely an upgrade target due to his injury from last season.

+1 - 2nd yr rule x2.

he won't have the surprise factor as much as last year even though he probably had slight tags 3rd or 4th game in ...

IMO it especially applies to mature-age rookies, as they are likely to be closer to their best output in their first year then the younger rookies, hence their price will be a lot higher for similar output

@j959 - Barlow was tagged by Ling in game 3 of the year.

Maybe an upgrade target but hefty price tag

No snapped leg men for me :(
Nathan Brown was never the same, nor Matthew Robran, the jury is still out on Jack Zieball and perhaps the only successful return from a broken leg was Brendan Lade.
Thankyou for last year Michael, but you won't get a guernsey to begin with  ;)

nas

have to agree re Lade twice done so maybe a chance as long as not rushed back and given time to heal re Barlow.
