You can take Mark Jackson off the list, there's a few players in front of him. (Like 2000) ;D

We had a full back in the late 70's early 80's called Gary Malarkey. Best full back I've ever seen, and I've seen some good ones. :)

Bunyip if you are going Malarky then the Nankervis brothers slot in nicely in both back pockets.

Surely Doug Wade has to get in.

Interesting to see most of the names in the shortlist didn't even make the team of the century although I suspect this was before the latest era. Ablett Snr, Sam Newman, Poly Farmer & Buddah Hocking all in with Couch on the bench.

I'm just throwing up some of my favorite players Cruis. There are a host of players from every club that quietly went about their business, and never got any media attention, and were GREAT players.
Roy West (another full back), John Devine, Billy Goggin, Allistair Lord. They all have a place in every Geelong supporters heart, but are not that well known otherwise, with the odd exception.
It's fair to say that my "Dream Team" of former cats stars would look a bit different to most other fans. Thats the way it should be.

I'd think you'd have to nominate Mark Yeates for the bump he gave Dermie in the 89' GF. Magical :D

Yeates'y was a terrific player. That incident with Dermie was payback. Dermie cleaned him up one day AFTER the final siren when they were walking off. Yeates never forgot. He was a tough nut and a dependable back pocket.

No list of any kind should be without Billy Goggin. One of the all time greats.

You just beat me to it .. I saw Goggin as a kid, great player and teamed up in a star Ruck/rover combo with Polly Farmer .. probably should also include Alistair Lord
