Australia chasing 260 on a tough batting wicket...

Warner comes out, gets a duck or low score, goes back to the pavillion.

Australia chasing 350 on a great batting wicker...

Warner comes out, gets a quick 50 before going for one too many, and gets out.

Neither is particularly helpful really. Warner's conditions need to suit.

Is ok though, he can earn the big bucks in the IPL

if australia r chasing 260 on a tough batting wicket i wouldnt open with warner though, but a quick 50 in chasing 350 would be a help to take the pressure off the other batsmen

Hawka

warner isnt goiod enof yet for odi full stop he only came in in early 2009 cos hayden just retired

10 overs will be stretching Tait

Good to see Brett Lee! But they really should've picked a young quick over Siddle or Tait or Bollinger

i dont think tait will need to bowl 10 overs with white/clarke/hussey being able to bowl a bit i do agree about the picking a young quick over one of the other bowlers (not tait though :P)

starc is injured,hazlewood injured

tait was succesful last time bowling in odi speels between 2-4 overs

Here's hoping things go to plan! So sick of 1 dimensional players.

I'll admit, Tait was great in the 2007 World Cup. I just question his durability and commitment, if he has to play weeks of cricket at the World Cup.... just not sure.

Why do we need 2 spinners in a 14 man squad when we have Clarke, White, Dave Hussey and Smith as backup bowlers  ??? ??? ???

ossie85

Reckon cos Doherty and Hauritz are fighting off for the World Cup

Bazinga

I reckon they should just pick one spinner and stick with him. They play enough domestic cricket to have an opinion of who is better. Far more important to get our batting and fast bowling right before WC.

I agree that batting and fast bowling are just as important, but I remember Brad Hogg just about winning us the 2003 World Cup, so very important to get the slow men right also.

Bazinga

I don't think we have a spinner who is good enough to win us a world cup, so we should be concentrating on other key players who can win it for us .

That's what they said about Brad Hogg. And Hauritz is a perfectly serviceable one day bowler
