Sharrod Wellingham

2010 Stats
Games: 20
Total Score: 1516
Average Score: 75.80
High: 117 (Round 6)
Low: 24 (Round 17)
Standard Deviation: 29.13
Centuries: 6 out of 20
Starting Price: $365,400
High Price: $442,100 (round 6)
Low Price: $272,200 (round 15)

Summary:

The new smiling assassin now that Brad Johnson's retired? Premiership Player Sharrod Wellingham started the season off very well - eventually keeping out established veterans like Tarkyn Lockyer and Shane O'Bree - scoring 3 centuries and averaging 98.00 across the first 6 rounds. He then missed rounds 7 and 8 with a minor calf injury, before returning and struggling fantasy wise. From Round 9-17, Sharrod scored only 1 century at the very low average of 51.00. Before coming into decent form again in the last 5 rounds, with 2 centuries at 93.80.

Averaged 59.5 in 2008, 68.7 in 2009 and 75.8 in 2010. Steadily increasing, and at 22 you'd think still with a lot of improvement left in him.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number
Price: $402,600

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $383,800

Position: MID

I think Wellingham will continue to improve, along with Dayne Beams and Steele Sidebottom, he could take the next step this year.

Decision:

He is too expensive to get a serious look in however, and will still be inconsistent as he finds his game. Unlikely for me.

p.s. this is the last Pies Premiership player, so I'll move on from them for now ;)

Fletch74

Surprised with the 6 centuries, but as you say too expensive.

Finally, no more Collingwood players.... :P

BoredSaint

maybe touch and go cause i like him..
but doubt it..

j959

Unlikely - too hard to fit him into the mids with Swan and Pendles keeping him out. Might watch him this season and look at whether he can get to 'premium' status in the next couple of seasons ...

thanks for the write-up Ossie

Boomz

I think he will improve a lot but not enough to start in my team...

nas

Thanks ossie for the write ups on your team players well done & received. No to Sharrod tho

Alex7089

400 thousand, for, Wellingham? I think not.
Far too expensive, although I am considering him, along with JON ::)

McRooster

Awkwardly priced, any other year and he may have been a unique contender.

yeaah unlikely for me also

MTK

Way too expensive, might look for his value to drop mid year though...
