Summary:

A Break-out year for Premiership Player Ben Reid. Initially drafted as a forward, Reid only played 8 home and away matches in his first three years. 2010 something changed though, emerging as a key defender, Reid held down CHB for Collingwood, and played 21 matches for the year and earnt a rising star nomination.

Fantasy wise, Reid scored two centuries, and was much better across the second half of the season despite a minor injury. Nothing major from Reid though in the fantasy department.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number
Price: $351,200

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $335,500

Position: DEF

With Chris Tarrant back at Collingwood, competition will be between him, Tarrant and Nathan Brown for the two key defender spots. Reid may miss a few matchs through the year as Collingwood try to get the balance right.

Decision:

I always say No to key defenders whether they are Brian Lake or Simon Prestigiacomo. Reid fits that category.
