roo boys!

I have been getting into golf more and more lately, just about all the males in my family play so it was inevitable that I'd get into it eventually and I have now. Haven't got a handicap yet since I have only played a couple of times, been spending a lot of time at the driving range.

I literally live in between two golf courses, though my skills are atrocious and have not had my handicap measures but it would be HIGH. I'm better at sports where the ball is moving towards me - instincts kick in :)
i seem to be worse at those kind of sports, playing golf though has helped me develop my lofted straight drives in cricket  :P
It's the opposite for me :P I have stopped doing it now, but when I first started playing golf I was just cover driving the ball pretty much because I was just so used to cricket :P

thanks Chumps :) can't claim it as a 300m hit though as the tee block was about 7 or 8 metres forward of the plates :P

PowerMan

haven't been for a hit for ages, have been issues with bone spurs in my ankles which makes it hard to walk a course at the moment,

Hopefully I can get out in the next few weeks and use my scoopon I got for G Normans new course at Port Hughes, apparently it a ripping lay out, and the greens are like putting on glass.  ;D

is that Settler's run?

a guy I played with today said it was bloody hard :-X he plays off 5 and shot 91 there lol

I had -2 today, hit the ball really well the 2nd 9 :)

the driver was at it again, had a 60m 2nd shot into the 4th at Sale, a 350m par 4 :P (too bad I made bogey again ::))

McRooster

Played the Valley View par 3 course on Australia Day as a fine tune, played 3 balls off every tee and came in with 178  :)

Had two eights (3,3,2) and was really surprised at the result of a more relaxed swing, easing the shoulders out and not punishing the shot, good lessons learnt.

Will certainly do it again to help short game.

bugger that I'd be tired after 12 holes :P

My Chumps

Played today.... Hit it pretty shower but still had 37 points. Driver is not working for me  :(

Had a nice highlight though; draining a birdie from 165 out on the par 5 9th with a nice little fade off my 3 iron  :D
Pity it wasn't for my first eagle, but I screwed around in a hazard for a bit there  :P
