played a 4BBB yesterday, had 43 points and hit the ball a lot better then I have been ;D I was hitting monster drives, and hit an easy 5 iron 2nd shot into the 435m par 5 15th :P

also with the changes to the handicap system being applied on Wednesday I will come back in to 14 :P

Bazinga

Wow thats some long hitting pyro ... I love whacking big drives   8)

Played a 4BBB yesterday as well, had 39 points while scoring 37 points on my own. My partner had a shocker   :P

My handicap is currently 5 (4.7) and will go down to 4 on wednesday - which sucks because our course is very easy.

Sounds like my other playing partners on Saturday, I let the guy who didn't perform know about it as last time I played a 4BBB with him the same thing happened :P

nice handicap Baz 8) my course is one of the harder ones in my area so I'm good when I go to other courses :P however with my course also being a bit open it hasn't forced me to be the straightest hitter so I do struggle at times on other courses :-X

Nothing worse than playing well in a 4BBB while your partner plays crap.

My course is tight with a bit of water, but it is very short (5,800m par 72). I am a very good chipper and putter, so I still regularly par holes even if I find trouble off the tee.

I'm a terrible chipper and putter at times :P I am very good at hitting big hooks around trees though (I wonder why ::) :P)

The new handicapping system changes have been finalised, and my handicap has dropped from 4.7 down to 4.3 (as expected). It is going to be very tough to play off 4 as I've been off 5 & 6 for the past 12 months, especially as I've got into a routine of which holes I get shots on for stableford and fourball comps.

Personally I think the changes are great, as there are many golfers who have intentionally 'blown out' their handicaps by manipulating the system. The new handicapping structure definitely advantages the better (lower handicapped) golfer, which is the way it should be   :)

8-6 Suited

Well, I'm already cutting shots off my rounds again as I get back into it. Just gotta get my drive going right again and it will be complete as that is the only low point now. Costing me a fair few shots. :P

My Chumps

I play off 16 at my local 9 hole course Tambo Valley :D
Don't play fanatically, just more for a bit of fun and something to do on a Sunday.
Haven't had a competitive bash for about 3 months now  :o

lol Shaggy you sound like me :P

I agree Baz, I was starting to feel myself that my handicap was blowing out and giving me an unfair advantage (only because of my bad run of form) which is all well and good for when somebody is out of form, but if they hit form again they could have a crazy score

I played today at Patawalonga (South Course) with an old mate of mine. It was hot. My form really dropped on the second nine after getting quite tired and underhydrated. Went out in 42 for the front and came in with 52 for the back, 94 off the stick   >:(
My mate, who I used to do private training with, went out with a 53 and came in with a 48, 101 off the stick. He doesn't have a handicap but has some good shots in the bag. What it did show to me was how out of condition I've become and my sporadic attempts at getting out and playing in the last 4 months (winter golf sucks) has really let my form slide.
I didn't hand in a card today of course but think I may have slipped out to 22 with the new handicap system after being at 18 only 12 months ago  :'(

R11 is working ok, 4 iron is my hot stick atm, new soft face Odyssey putter nice enough - it is just the fade out outs I am having due to lack of fitness and irregularity (I don't mean bowel wise  :P). My bread and butter shot, the wedge from 100-110 out seems to have left me. I had put it down to the R11 giving me unexpected distances of the tee, but it is actually because my golf sucks balls atm. Need to get more regular.

I got the Odyssey White-Ice blade-style putter for my birthday a while ago, and I simply love it   :D

38 pts with 4 scrubs and a 1 pointer on the first  :o - This included two 4 pointers and seven three pointers.

On the 11th I hit out of bounds, then put the next 270 up the guts, 100m out and dropped it on to within 6 feet. Would have been birdie if it wasn't for the first tee shot but I did still salvage the two points  8)

Higlhight was my birdie on 10 after having two Bratwurst sausages and a West End at the BBQ shed. This usually involves a social wager with the volunteer running the BBQ shed about who can make the green (180m elevated tee Par 3), this can be difficult as the green is open to the valley breezes whilst leading to the hole itself is protected from wind by high pine trees on both sides. Only five bucks was put on today and at least paid for my sausages  :)

nice job Roost ;)

I had 92/79 after dropping 3 shots in 3 weeks ::) My excuse is that I can't play in the rain :P But in reality I was doing alright until I had 7 putts in 3 holes :o
