Simon Hogan
Games:11
Total Score:533
Average Score:48.4
High:76
Low:23
Centuries:0 out of 11
Starting Price:$330,400
High Price:Starting Price
Low Price:$217,700(22)

Starting Price next year:$245,000 (based on Monty's fanplanner)

Summary: Hogan in his first 2 years at the club has always been on the fringe of the Geelong team due to their midfield, but he has always been the player called up if injuries or suspensions occur. He hasn't set the world on fire with his scores in his 2 seasons but I think this is due to not having enough job security. He doesn't keep his mind on the game cause he doesn't know whether he will play the next game. With Gary Ablett gone now you would think that he will step in and take that role as he can also play very well off the half forward line could do what Ablett and Chapman did last year. Performed very well at the end of the VFL season including a 50 possession game. Could also be given MPP.

Decision: If he gets games in nab shows good form and job security, depending on the role he plays I will consider him in that price bracket of Foley and Harris, at the moment Shortlisted

Will you select Hogan in 2011?

50/50 for me, i will consider him, especially if he goes well in the NAB cup, i do agree with your point about job security and i think the extra game time will help him improve his scores next year

Junktimer

will consider at that price, but unlikely

If the choice came down to Hogan or Foley - Foley for sure.

Only room for one non David Swallow player in this price ranged for me and Foley is it

Barlow 21

Foley 10 times out of 10 against Hogan.

Not having any mid-pricers in my mids so no from me. Would take Anthony and Foley before him though.
