Don't think it is a good idea. We need to move forward and develop the kids we have now. Recruiting a rugby player is a bit of desperate GC or GWS thing to do.

Apart from a freakish goal I saw him kick from 50m with a Sherrin on YouTube, haven't seen anything to suggest he can play...

He can play. People have said he is the pick of the nuff nuff's in terms of playing AFL. Would turn out a hell of a lot better than Israel 'Never watched a game' Folau...Then again so would JOK.

Karmichael and Israel are different for the Suns and Giants. They're after publicity.

The last thing Essendon need is more publicity, really. Seems a poor decision, and almost a "mates decision". An AFL stick-it-up-the-NRL kind of thing, but unlike Hunt and Folau, I think this will galvanise the NRL support base.

You have to be Joking. Surely not. Loked him at the Storm & if we had not done a Carlton would still be there (?). After the dirty he done re the broncos (Handshake) agreement has tumbled down to near the bottom of the heap in my esteem.
Doubt if he will leave the NRL as me thinks it's a ploy to get to the Rabbits.

I agree naste. He wants to play for the Rabbitohs and noone else really.

That said if there's even a 1% possibility he'll jump and the AFL is willing as it seemingly is to allow him on I guess you have to give it a shot. But I certainly don't want him at Essendon
