Saints players were devastated by the loss to Geelong in 2009.
Ross Lyon savaged the players in their post season addresses and some players it appears took it literally when Ross said "You'll have to go back to  school to learn how to win"  :P

There is always a fall guy in this era of media spin doctoring. Think of "Joe the cameraman" regarding Warnies comments - can't bat, can't bowl.

I'm saying don't believe everything you hear and see, because all too often we are fed the edited side of things to ensure that our opinions fall in the favour of those with the most coin.
Press releases and scapegoats are what we demand and expect to hear and can become the narcotic for the masses, if a side of a story is repeated enough ad nauseam then 'it must be the truth'  :P

Gentlemen, remember this is somebody's daughter and hope that when you become a father that your little girl is never caught up in something like this.

This is a pretty awful situation for everyone involved, probably not so bad for the players in the photo but I feel St Kilda drew far too much attention and made it an issue for them.

I have been personally involved in a few cases where the media have taken great liberties with the truth, at times making stuff up all together, which is why I am normally reluctant  to talk about things like this when the "facts" are so unclear. I am very aware that I have to filter out bias, never take anything as gospel and often do my own research, however ultimately we all generate opinions based on what we are presented. How much, what and how we are presented with information and how we filter and process that shapes our opinions.

I personally read quite a bit of what this girl (who's name I will not post) has written on various social networking sites which I used to form my opinion that I voiced above. Admittedly it isn't a flattering description of her however my objective wasn't to denigrate her in any way but rather call it as I see it.

what do dayne beams, nick roo, sam gilbert and francis james pope(on sex charges from collingwood scandel) all have in common? They all come from southport football club! I have no interest in defending Reiwoldt who after 3 crap Grand Finals already has 3 monkeys on his back but the decision to name & shame of Gilbert would surely have come from the club's PR/spin department & not from him.

They always seem to draw attention to themselves, when the aim should be to minimise the damage whilst others reform the club culture. This time last year it was Lovett in court for weeks and weeks, naked photos from Miami on a footy trip, nightclub video footage of fights, Milne past deeds rolling on etc etc.

From a football perspective I for one am happy that the second best team of 2010 (and almost the Premier) is fallling backwards rather than making up ground on the Pies.
