My only concern is that you are now forced to keep a forward premium in your midfield. I would swap didak with green and then upgrade him to swallow, boyd, bartel or jack.

I can almost guarantee that didak will fall in price - this year he only had one round above his starting price and dropped around 100k during some stages. Especially coming off surgery, i'd leave him out. The lions will be a joke this year so in that case I would still take goodes over brown, but thats just me. Apart from that it looks good

sorry, dont quite follow that part.  elaborate?

*Assuming you're going for overall win

R4 - 5 players out (2 in backline + goddard so your mpp can't be used) would do well not to cop a 0 in that round
R5 - 1 player (perfect)
R6 - 4 prems (might cop a 0, definitely lose a lot of points)

-.5/-1 for this
-.5 for doubling up on mpp forwards/backs in your midfield (mainly deducting for having two forwards though - the heppell/godd combo in mids isn't too important since hepp is on your bench)
The reason I'm deducting is because you've got pav and didak in your mids for mpp right...you only need one of them in your fwd line then you can have a mid premium in their place. I'd trade Pav for someone like Boak or someone, then trade brown for pav. That way you still keep mpp with fwd/ctr and you have the opportunity to include a prem with upside in your midfield, whereas pav and didak have little upside.

Could potentially - another .5 for having 3 brisbane players (since brisbane have both of their byes in non-playing weeks...although you'll probably have upgraded adcock by then and drummond will probably be injured by then) So I'm not sure if it's fair to deduct points for that.

9/10 at best
8/10 being harsh

Liked one of your earlier teams a bit better (but that was from first glance and not an in depth analysis)
Hope that helped :)

thanks for the advice.

i dont think 5 byes in round 4 will matter too much as I have a great amount of MPP movement available.

My attitude with having Dids and Pav in the middle is they are both good enough midfielders in their own right, and the MPP is just a bonus.  To say they have little upside IMO is unfair, as they scored 23 centuries this year between them (dids 13, pav 10).

Junktimer

taken some advice and traded jono brown for matty boyd.  was able to do it through MPP

This is my new team, would appreciate some comments or feedback, if you rate mine, I will rate yours.

DEF: Bryce Gibbs (M), Brett Deledio (M), Josh Drummond, Jed Adcock, Andy Otten, Ben Jacobs, Cameron Richardson
EMG: Michael Coad, Tendai Mzungu, Josh Toy

Not a premium heavy line, but very economical and all options there are good value.  Adcock and Drummond are locks with a good pre season and stay injury free and fit.

MID: Brendon Goddard (B), Dane Swan, Matthew Boyd, Matthew Pavlich (F), David Swallow, Andrew Gaff
EMG: Dyson Heppell (B), Andrew Krakouer, Ian Callinan (F)

3/0/0/6  That seems to be the way to go with the starting midfield.  Got MPP, and Boydo and Swallow brothers should go great.  Pretty happy with the cover on the bench too.

RUCK: Aaron Sandilands, Drew Petrie (F)
EMG: Max Bailey, Zac Smith

Pretty Standard.

FWD: Nick Riewoldt, Lance Franklin, Alan Didak (M), Brad Green (M), Cyril Rioli, Steele Sidebottom (M), Dion Prestia
EMG: Jack Darling, Brandon Matera, Andrew Hooper

Really happy with that line.  Not many mid priced forward options so went very premium heavy.
So there we go.  A rate would be lovely.

$3k left lol.

Yes very good move! You have now addressed my concern and solved that problem, but I elaborated quickly below so hopefully we are on the same page.

Because you had 6 premium forwards + pavlich and green in the middle you essentially have 8 premium forwards in your team. This would mean that come the end of the season you would be forced to play pav/green etc. in the midfield and may lose a few points here or there. Not a big issue by any means if you have 22 premiums on the field but it may mean that you have a player averaging 95-100 in the midfield instead of someone averaging 110+.

But brown to boyd through mpp is a great trade

Junktimer

ooooh i get ya.  yeah 8 forwards is very iffy.

thanks maca ill get to it now.

good to see you back on the petrie train

Maca24

lol yes  :) my reasoning is that getting petrie frees up 200k and i think that players like kreuzer, ryder, cox, mumford will drop heaps early and will be good straight swaps. petrie to mumford for 50K would be fantastic.

Nice team JT.
Like the little risks in the backline. Drummond and Adcock in the same team could be good but alot of an injury past between the two ;).
Nice use of MPP with the midfield. Would steer clear of McNeil at the start. Don't need more than 1 at the start. Maybe downgrade to him later in the year as I doubt he'd play early (if at all).
Solid Rucks.
Very stacked Forwards. Went with 5 strong last season and didn't pan out :'(. Hopefully it's different next year for you.

I prefer Petrie to Knights as Knights is more of a DT player while Petrie is much more proven in his scoring.

thanks HP.

out of interest, who were your 5 premium forwards?  fev ;)
Nah, Fev was a downgrade end of year when he dropped below 200k :P. What a good cover he made ::).

Roo, Pav, Higgins, ROK and Chappy. Chappy and Pav were probably the best of the lot from them ::).
lol dom the fev trade f****d my team up  :'(

ChrisWog97
