For sure but I think Knights was doomed from the start as everyone wanted Hardwick to get the job.

Hardwick has done pretty well with the Tigers and I was sad to see him leave Hawthorn, but he needed to have a go.

Yeah I think he'll be a very good coach. The reasons they gave for Hardwick not getting it were pathetic. Basically Knights said he'd go for instant sucess which appealed to them more than re-building like Hardwick wanted... It still hasn't been done and needs to be.
