Will he? Marc Murphy knocked back a 5 year deal with the Brisbane Lions to play with Carlton, and that was before he played a game.

it just seems to be a bad 2-3years for other clubs where theres more money on the table in these new teams and its too hard to knock back when ur footy career can only last so long and cash rules everything around us... as much as we think they should stay u can hardly blame them for going :-\

Don't think he'll leave. But seriously, what does Sheedy see something really amazing in him, I mean he's easily an A Grade Midfielder but no Ablett, Judd etc.

He is quite an underrated player. He does his job with such consistency each week. A new start team would love a hard worker on the field to bring some stability, especially to the midfield.

Carlton have a stacked midfield, they can afford to lose him. Get some picks to build their forward line KPP's :P.

I'm with Ossie, Murphy is the best of your young crop, team ethic, hard at the ball, whilst he's not of the same class yet, he's almost like your Joel Selwood. I see him developing into a Sam Mitchell type player. As much as I always have a go at Gibbs, I'll always stick up for Murphy because he's always around when the chip are down & that's when you judge a player i reckon.
