roo boys!

I still believe Watto could be our man.

So do I. Watto or Haddin or both, one VC the other C, IMHO. Behind the stumps is a good place to captain a side IMO.

eeek the only team watto has captained is fantasy cricket teams and brad haddin is like 63 :P

Yeah I think Haddin could VC maybe but not much point bringing in a new captain who is only a few years younger than our current one ::)

Alex7089

If he is the best option ::)
Besides Haddin didn't really get a go at international level until he was 30-31 so he could go for quite a few years yet...

roo boys!

But also keepers are often injury riddled (broken finger etc) so he would miss a few tests here or there....

Needs to be younger, so will likely be Tim Paine.

Well I don't think that the selectors were thinking 'Wait, if we don't play this kid for 5 years he'll still be around when Australia goes to the shower.'

It just happens when they don't get a chance due to Gilly etc.
Happens in footy as well, usually, there are exceptions.

I prefer somebody young who can get International Experience and grow into a Captain. Give him some leadership duties every now and again for 2-3 years then let him take on Captaincy.

Like with Stuart MacGill, he would have got games any other time but he just happened to be around when Warnie was.

Cameron White when punter goes if that fails well there is always north who just needs to score runs who can captain but when both of these players are retired a guy called mitchell marsh will b captaining he is only 19 so give him a few years
