Summary:
Was a nobody until he stole Simon Taylors spot for the 2008 grand final and i wasnt convinced he was a great ruck but last season in the absence of Taylor,Skipper,Bailey and Lowden he showed that he can became the hawks number 1 ruck and will always play if not injured

However Renouf stats from last year aren't that great he had many scores in the 40s and 50s but had a few standouts such as 110 and 94 but followed such scores up with score like 29 and 27

The Cyrstal Ball
Based on m0ntys fan planner
Price:$324,900
Postion:RUC

Even though he is the hawks number 1 ruck he hasnt quite catch on to super coach  yet.Expect inconsisteny alot and not to many tons if we go by last years stats. However this could be a break out year and rucks to do take a while to become great Fantasy scorers

Decison:
Unlikely with the price he is he could be your second ruck and make you some money but he isn't consistent enough yet but he could be a very good unique.Im not sold of him preferring with Petrie or someone around Renouf's price range.
But will you pick him

PS: this is my first 1 so apologizes if it isn't any good

Renouf... Renouf... Renouf is on Fire!

Great write-up Hawka!

Solid ruckman all things considered, but my crystal ball can't see him scoring much better! I'll give him an unlikely, and like you said, would be more inclined to pick Petrie.

... and his name is Brent :)

Fletch74

No way for me.

He is just purely a tapman, doesn't get around the ground enough. He's average in my books, so it's a plain NO from me.

Hawka

haha ossie i just saw that will change ;)

pyronerd

unlikely for me, if he has an encouraging NAB cup i may consider him, but i think he may be too inconsistent

MajorLazer

Don't think so for me, but I love his kicking style. :P

I had Renouf last year only cos Hille was inconsistant and i needed a backup.Warnock had gone up and wasnt playing so i spent 80k and upgraded Warnock to Renouf it saved my ass many times and went on to win my league. However this year he will be too expensive but maybe an upgrade target for the bench if his price drops :-\

hawk_88

Too risky, even if his scoring picks up. He is currently the number one ruckman at the Hawks and had a great season however even though he is the number one ruckman, he will be the second ruckman picked in the 22. Hale's versatility is a key part of the Hawks plans to keep the bench ruckman free.

What this means is that if Bailey comes good, as every Hawk fan hopes he does, Renouf won't slip to second ruck but rather out of the 22.

Hawka

Even if baileys fit i still want renouf to be the number1

hawk_88

I don't mean fit I mean eclipse.

Renouf is a tap ruckman. Improved greatly over the past season but will never offer much more than that around the field. Bailey on the other hand can. So if he is fit and builds up the form, he will be better for the side that Renouf.

I know it kinda feels like betrayal, but the rule changes have changed the ruck landscape.

Toast

Unfortunately I agree... Renouf is a good solid ruckman, but I don't know if he can go to the next level. From what I have heard Bailey has the potential to be an A grade player and a genuine leader.

I don't think that this ruck rule has killed the second ruckman, merely brought the demise forward 2 years. The second ruckman was going the way of Tom Hawkins, Kosi and Brown anyway.

Just my thoughts though

the fact that i can get Petrie for 100k cheaper means a never ever ever.
