These are the midpriced midfielders that i believe are worth a look at in SC next year (Midpricers i belive are those between 450k-300k)

1. Richard Douglas
2010 Stats
Games: 22
Total Score: 1954
Average Score: 88.8
High: 146 (RND 9 VS BL)
Low: 21 (RND 1 VS Freo)
Centuries: 8/22
Starting Price: $369,600
High Price: $517,900 (RND 12)
Low Price: $343,300 (RND 3)

According to Monty
Price: $449,200

Summary
Ended as Adelaide's highest scoring fantasy SC play last year and also claimed their B&F. It was defiantly his breakout year by upping his previous year average by 19.3 PPG, this was mainly due to his time spent in the midfield he worked a lot better in there and then occasionally going forward, you could tell the difference in scores by comparing the start of his year(where he played predominately forward), with the rest of the year(Where he spent most of his time in the midfield). With the amount of retiring midfielders at the crows he should gain evening more time in the midfield, and should increase his average even more last year. He should be a steal at this price and if MPP should be even more tempting.

2. Daniel Wells
2010 Stats
Games: 19
Total Score: 1671
Average Score: 87.9
High: 132 (RND 3 VS WCE)
Low: 38 (RND 11 VS BRIS)
Centuries: 8/19
Starting Price: $361,900
High Price: $460,200 (RND 22)
Low Price: $329,000 (RND 15)

According to Monty
Price: $444,700

Summary
After playing only 7 games last year he looked like he wasn't going to find his previous years form but this year showed glimpses of this especially when the midfield around him like Swallow, Harvey and Anthony performed, it also helped when Swallow or Boomer got the tag. Wells is reportably having one of his best pre-seasons in some time, this could be a sign that he could return to his best last year. The best part about Daniel Wells is his consistentcy especially when his in form- last year- 60, 60, 132, 114, 114, 113, 84, 89, 49, GM, 38, 68, 45, 92, 65, 123, GM, GM, 99, 108, 104, 114. This shows that he usually scores his lowest just before when he misses games or after coming back but also shows a lot of consistency.

3. Brent Moloney
2010 Stats
Games: 18
Total Score: 1497
Average Score: 83.1
High: 144 (RND 4 VS RICH)
Low:  7 (RND 16 VS FREO, INJURY)
Centuries: 4/18 (13/18 over 75)
Starting Price: $393,600
High Price: $538,700 (RND 10)
Low Price: Starting Price

According to Monty
Price: $420,600

Summary
Brent has been Melbourne's Dane Swan, the guy who usually gets most of the ball for the past 2 seasons. He is very consistent with most his scores last year at 75+. Could be a good unique next year as there are a lot of options for teams to tag around the ground, first of which is probably Davey. At this price if he continues to find lots of the ball he could score consistent tons next year.

4. Steven Salopek (If your a risk taker)

2010 Stats
Games: 15
Total Score: 1216
Average Score: 81
High: 141 (RND 3 VS BL)
Low: 42 (RND 4 VS GEEL)
Centuries: 2/15 (8/15 80+)
Starting Price: $448,200
High Price: $471,700 (RND 3)
Low Price: $368,400 (RND 22)

According to Monty
Price: $410,000

Summary
Very injury prone player but when fit really consistent. The good thing about him is he hardly ever gets tagged and usually plays well if not injured or coming back from an injury. The bad thing about him is he usually starts well, attracts interest and then does himself a mid season injury, over the past 4 years he has played a total of 59 games, the last time he played above 20 games was 2006(21 games). This guy is a huge risk but if he stays fit will make you happy you picked him.

5. Liam Anthony (The obvious one)

2010 Stats
Games: 7
Total Score: 580
Average Score: 82.8
High: 127 (RND 3 VS WCE)
Low: 42 (RND 2 VS SYD)
Centuries: 2/7 (4/7 80+)
Starting Price: $505,700
High Price: Starting Price
Low Price: $421,500(RND 7)

According to Monty
Price: $377,100

Summary
It's clear that this guy is made for fantasy after averaging 95.2 in his first year from 10 games, he has continue to dominate on the roos HF line/Midfield. He is more suited to DT as he gets lots of possessions but is also a good pick up at this price in SC, should average consistent 100's this year if he shows no signs of his injury which i don't think he will as the roos rested him longer then needed.

I think all these midpricers should be considered if you are low on cash, looking for a unique or just willing to tae a risk. All should get better this year and should make some sort of money.

Justin Bieber

Very nice round up MTTY.

The little patch inbetween for Wells is a tad concerning. But a better midfield around would help anybody. Especially having such good in and under players to feed you the ball such as Swallow.

I had 4 of them on my shortlist, bar Wells. All have alot of upside, especially Anthony at that price. I have a few others floating around there as well but they are more of a wait and see type thing.

Cheers HP

There are a few others that i could have included like Prismall if he gets more game time, Brad Ebert as i think he could have a breakout year and Griffen if you spend a bit more

ossie85

Daniel Wells was serviceable last year for me, unlikely to get a second go though

Justin Bieber

Ebert is one I have short listed. But he's more a DT player :(. Griffen has been teasing about a breakout last couple of years. Finally had a god year last one so nice 8).

MajorLazer

I was looking at Brent Moloney last year and if he starts well he could be one to get as a unique upgrade.

Liam Anthony will be in a lot of teams. Probably won't be in mine.

j959

Cool, thanks MTTY.
Think I will only be able to take the L Anthony option as going to go more with the premium & rookie path for the mids

Barlow 21

L.Anthony is the only one from that list I will be strongly considering.

roo boys!

This is the only reason why I am astaying away from him, he can score well like those 114/113 scores, and that big 132 but he did have a down patch and that can really hurt.

Junktimer

nice write up, only ones ill be considering are liam anthony or dicky douglas if hes FWD/MID

bomberboy0618

only anthony ill even think about.

Barlow 21

Anthony and Douglas are the only ones I am considering.

Cotchin has to be considered

Cotchin has to be considered
Not very consistent so not my pick.

Knowall

Im considering cotchin the strongest and a bit Anthony.

i think Corey, Vince, Hannebery should be considered that arent on that list.
Corey is a proven performer that struggled with injury a bit last year.
Vince after a great 09 struggled with injury last year.
Hannebery could just continue his improvement
