After having a few attempts already this is my current team - what do you guys think? My main concerns with it are the backline strength and whether to have tapscott or harper as my last fwd bench. Feel free to add any suggestion, criticism or just your opinion. And if you post the link i will comment on yours as well. Cheers,

Backs: Goddard (C), Hodge (C), Kelly (C), Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Jacobs - Mzungu, Richardson, Toy

Mids: Swan, Boyd, Anthony, Swallow, Gaff, Heppell (B) - Wallis, Krakour, Hallahan

Rucks: Sandlilands, Petrie (F) - Smith, Lycett

Forwards - Franklin, Sylvia (C), Thomas, N Reiwoldt, Brown, Knights, Prestia - Smith, Matera, Tapscott

personally i would keep swan but having boyd and joey is almost unnecessary so early, you could swap out to a slightly cheaper premium and then use the money upgrading some of the forward line midpricers to premiums.

didn't see much of jetta so can't comment.

I agree with LewisR only select 2 of the three midfielders, also Atley has no purpose on the bench and you are better of finding another 80k mid rookie, but of course you would change the rookies at pre-season, like everyone does.

I would say that your defenders are actually good, same comment on McCarthy your better of getting a 80k defender who will play same game time, if you can find one.

Your fwd line i would say is your weakest, you have the injury prone rioli, and 2 so-so players that haven't proven much yet, and a rookie. by downgrading some of your expensive players on your bench and one the the mid premiums you will be able to trade out either riloli and/or jetta to premiums. If you think jetta will play out well then stick with him, hell in my team i'm actually considering to get fev, am i crazy or what?

Atley on a midfield bench is fine I believe especially if youve got D.Swallow, Gaff and Heppell (as a MPP)
not sure on the certainty of game-time for the kid, though he is a talent, but finding a spot for him on a team with a midfield consisting of Anthony, Bastinac, A.Swallow, Cunnington, Wells, Adams, Zeibell, Harvey and Rawlings could be difficult
Your deff need one more premium in that forward line, and I agree that u can go without one of Boyd and Montagna (tho it does look potent) but maybe put in someone like Anthony or Foley or some other dropped priced premium

at this stage my team is the same except that montagna is out and anthony in and jetta out franklin in. Now i might have to many hawks though. These byes are really going to screw people around!

8.5 hally, very solid.
looks similar to what i'm hoping for except i might go a bit cheaper with an eye to upgrading later - eg i want Hodge in my team evetually but I think I can upgrade to him later in the season, but i'm not keen on leaving out Goddard and Swanny at the start even though i think they could potentially drop a bit in value early on.

as popedelio wrote, everyone with their bench rooks probably can't be certain til closer to Rd1 - haven't heard much chatter about McCarthy though.

agree with LewisR, popedelio and browny's comments (esp browny's on the dropped priced premium and he gave you two excellent candidates).

on Leroy Jetta, I had him this season and that was a mistake - only cos he only played half a season, but I had him sitting there from Rd1 this season.

he's not bad and you'll want to see what Hirdy has in mind for him but as the others write, you could probably upgrade him to a premium or get a cheap rookie with more increasing value upside.

I think your backline is pretty solid mate.

Yes i did but only because i couldn't afford him unfortunately. I have 10k in the bank at the moment and Hallahan is a 100k and Atley 120k i think.
