Yer, but you are still depending on Anthony scoring 30-40 goals.

It would only take about 60 shots for him to score 30 goals - 3 shots a game.... less than 1 shot a quarter, I think that is achievable.
Anthony`s accuracy isn`t 50%. In 09 he shot at around 65% so about 3/4 of his shots goes in. Will be a strong forwardline with Pav, Anthony, Mayne and Balla. ;D

so he'll need about 45 shots to score 30 goals, thats about 1 per half of footy if he plays every game, but will h be able to manage that  :P

I was using the 50% ratio to be on the safe side

Cicjose

I still think that unless Anthony is a stay at home forward this recruitment will not give significant impact the Dockers ability to increase their scoring power.

Neither will it provide late goals from the goal square when the game is on the line

Interesting, train harder but still aren't as good. Guess the pies still have some room for improvement :)

Anthony was a great pick up for Freo allows Pav to spend more time in the middle and Freo still have a good target up front

We dont want Pav in the middle.  We want him at CHF where he can kick 60 goals a season.

Cicjose

We just need a stay at home forward so that Pav has something to kick to if he is too far out to score

Pav is never too far out to score :P

Just need someone deep forward so that the defenders have to watch him.  That way they dont double team Pav

a good recruit for the dockers will help Pavlich as you said. Just need to work on his accuracy

His accuracy is stunning Cookie. Don`t just post for the sake of it. ::)

Just to drag up an old but relevant thread, what are the thought on Anthony now? Obviously not crucial to the Freo structure and with many injuries couldn't quite sneak into the winning side round 1?

Is he a squad player who just adds depth or will he cement a spot?

valk's guess was gas tank issues keeping him out at the moment - i saw him in Rd1 NAB Cup and he really focussed Freo kicking into the forward 50 for the better and he brought it to ground generally to advantage of Freo crumbers - think the tank issue is linked to forward pressure because he did chase well, but just whether he can do it for the whole game??

I have thought about this one a bit more and there could be 2 reasons.  I still think that it could be a tank issue - he hasnt got a big enough one.  But it also could be team structure (number of talls).

Sandi, Johnson, Kep, McPharlin, Grover all played on the weekend.  Adding Jack could be too many talls.
