The big rumour was your put him up for trade for Tarrant.  That along with the fact he didnt get a game surely should have rung some bells.  Oh wait - you guys think everyone WANTS to play for you and will be happy regardless :P

massive plus, if freo could get barlow back fit and fitting they could make a late surge for the flag.

Barlow has been running for a while now and has been involved in light skills drills at training

Guys, guys, guys ..... I urge you please don't get too excited or base your future success on John Anthony. He played in the reserves all year for a reason, much of it in defence. And for what its worth (I've said this before) I have it on direct sources that he was extremely unpopular amongst the playing group.

I wish him all the best but you have to be careful about your player culture, getting Ball & Jolly for example was huge off-field for us, genuine leaders, Anthony was quite the opposite for us. Maybe the fresh Fremantle Doctor will help him.

I have never written that he will be the player we need to bring future success.  I see him as another piece to the puzzle.  I would love to see him playing out of the goalsquare, that way you would have to put a defender on him rather than send 2 defenders to Pav.  If he can free up Pav at CHF and chip in with 30 - 40 goals then I think that the drafting has been a success.

Remember Balla and Mayne should also be chipping in for 30 - 40 goals each as well

Valk Is Jack going to FF then? Do we think this make our forward line line-up like this:

HF: Fyfe Pavlich Walters
FF: Ballantyne Anthony Mayne

and will Anthony's role now become permanent goalsquare or a forward that roams the 50

He is not a franchise player but his body in the fwd line will be a welcome addition.

I would swap Walters and Balla as I suspect Balla will play further up the ground this year.  Walters doesnt have the tank to do that yet but I do like the look of that forward line.

The only change I could foresee is Jack to the backline and Griffin up forward if we want a taller lineup up forward

Cicjose

Collingwood went tall last year with Cloke and Dawes is having Griffin, Pavlich and Anthony going to be similar to that setup?

valkorum

They only had 2 talls (Cloke/Dawes).  Pav/Jack/Griffin makes 3 talls and may not work with our 2010 game plan of keeping the ball in the forward 50.

Although it would be nice to have Sandi and Griffin at each 50m boundary for a kick-in.  Would make the long kick to outside 50 not a viable option as a kick-in against us :)
