sometimes you gota take risks tfer, and jack is a risk im willing to take.
im not saying he will make my team, im just considering him.
swans have no byes in SC league games so thats a bonus.
plus i think he is just as risky as boak.
tomscully i agree we hav2 be careful with the super prems. gaza wont get a look in my starting team

tferrier18

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm definitely pro Jack! It's just that he doesn't really fit into my team...There's nothing to critisize about having him in your team, he's a gun.

LiveTheDream

Yes agree with you Torres/Tfer about Jack and i'm not really sold on anyone just yet. Jack looks like such a good prospect though based on his second half of the year when he was released from his tagging role. We will see.

Interesting idea jimmytigs but I honestly don't consider Boyd an 'elite' SC player, would put Pendlebury, Watson, Murphy and Montagna ahead of him. He hasn't averaged over 107 and often has a shocking DT:SC conversion....

Bit tough to read i know but just look at the last 2 numbers each round, the first being DT score and the last being SC score. Does not put him anywhere near Ablett, Swan & Judd IMO.

I did have a laugh though since you consider Rhys Palmer Fremantle's best midfielder in your list :P

barlows better but didnt wanna downplay him(in love with him like everyone else),i honestly had to rack my brain to find 1 between barlow & palmer & i consider pav to be a forward so im still clueless as hill is hot & cold & very cold & morabito is a fantasy spud.

pendlebury & murphy are the 2nd from respective clubs so they out & im worried collingwood figured out montagna & others will follow,i really dont rate watson as good as any of them, from memory boyd is cheaper than most of these so value wise he does it for me.

tferrier18

I'd put Cross ahead of Boyd any day of the week

MajorLazer

So would I, even though Cross does handball it off too much.

Maca24

all good tfer  :) yes boyd is a bit overrated. found him very inconsistent last year and i was happy when my league opponent had him in their team.

Torress

boyd did finish off slow. but the last  rounds the dogs were getting rolled. aker was carrying on and they didn't have a consistent forward line setup. boyd is 530k - you can know he will give u a 105 average with his clearance work and contested stuff/tackling. to be honest who from the bulldogs will ppl be starting?? its best to have a mixture of prems from all teams if possible, boyd is a midfield prem and will be pretty much the only  dog i'll have. maybe gilbee if he drops in price and the time is right.

tferrier18

Dude, Cross is such a better SC player than Boyd. Amazingly consistent, super fit and his scores aren't affected by the fact that he handballs more than kicks.

I've only considered starting Cross in my mids this year. I've flirted with having Gilbee in the backline but I'm not sold on him at that price.

Cross over Boyd for sure. Boyd has too much hype surrounding him as a SCer whereas Cross has none. Cross is completely under the radar.

LiveTheDream

I honestly don't know that i'll be starting with any dogs at all. Cross and Lake would be my first options and they are probably a bit overpriced to start with... but yes Cross any day of the week over Boyd!

Junktimer

i will be going with the 3 super premiums, three rookies approach.

goddard, ablett and swanny.

swallow, atley and wallis is what i have at this stage though the rookies are subject to change.

MajorLazer

I will be doing the same, Junk. Not sure on Ablett though.

Junktimer

yeah there has been a bit of hate on ablett this year, dont think ive seen him in one fanplanner.

i just really rate ablett and love the way he plays, and if he is MPP that will be a bonus

SydneyRox

I guess my thoughts are he is going to have to work so much harder this year. No protection from Selwood, Bartel etc until the young guys get their bodies together.

Plus I think most people see him as a prime upgrade in round 10 when GC have had their byes and some of the rookies are ready to go.

that is true, but that also allows him to establish himself more on the team, for example less players to take point of him
