Dom Cassisi, Dean Brogan, Troy Chaplin, Alipate Carlile and Travis Boak were joined by Jay Schulz and Jackson Trengove for Port's 2011 Leadership group.

SCHULZ? and TRENGOVE?! Seems a bit premature on both counts! Schulz was good, and Trengove improving. But seriously? I'm not confident Schulz and Trengove would be that many best 22s.

Master Q

Totally agree. And isn't it Trengrove?

Justin Bieber

Both are pretty much shocks.

Although, Jackson could be a decent player long term as a backman/back up ruck. Probably there to help the younger players out? Although he's young also :P.

Cloke? Nash?  :D

Trengrove is mentored by Brogan (makes succession sense) and Schulz is the only senior player left in the forward line after Eberts injury and Tredrea's retirement, other players are midfield and down back - Port are just sharing the load across all line groups.

Boomz

It just shows how shower port are... (Don't like them)

Maca24

port is just a big screw up. jacob surjan was their vice captain like wtf.
and schulz can hardly be a role model, pretty sure he was a bad boy at the tigers  ::)

Wes Mantooth

Okay first of all, its Trengove, not Trengrove. And he will be a great player.

Second, Schulz surprised me too. But Surjan's on field leadership was visible. He has basically taken the role Wilbur used to have, although no-one will be able to fill those shoes as good as Surj was last season.

^ As Wes said, no second r. In either Jack or Jackson

I thought it was surprising that trengove got into the group but schulz should be there.. he needs to lift his game on field and off field

will be interesting to see how he goes with a preseason under his belt and some confidence from last yr. he left richmond completely void of self belief.

I just refer to him as Jackson so not to get confused with Jack Trengove from the Demons.
