Okay i have been thinking and i have come up with the idea of holding a Fan Footy franchise comp similiar to that of the IPL.

Details:
4 franchises made up of an even amount of teams

Each franchise has a captain who will organise matches and friendlies with opposition captains

Before the start of the comp ,i will post a new thread where only the captains can post as they will be bidding to get players they want in their franchise. Players who arent captains are free to look through thread but are asked not to post.

Each franchise captain will be given $200 to bid for players. All teams will have a starting price of $0. First bid must be $5 and price must go up in incriments of $5. If bids of $5 are not placed they will not be counted as valid bids.

Each week matches will be held either on Thursdays or Sundays. Sundays given Pavilion Cup.

After each round i will be taking down results on who won and will be adding up franchise tables as well as player tables for each franchise. that way everyoen will know who are the top teams in each franchise and who is the top franchise.

After the twelve rounds are completed 2 finals weeks will be held. with the top team from top 2 franchises playing.
2nd team playing 2nd. 3rd playing 3rd. 4th playing 4th. In SOD and T20 and Youth. This means i franchise league will go for a season.

Winner will be crowned at the EOS. Top players will be named. I will create a fixtures thread for this seasons fixtures. a thread for matches/results and a hall of fame for the competition and each franchise.

A thread will be opened called bidding and this is where captains go and bid whenever they want on whoever they want there is no order so everyone can bid on every players. Thanks VAlk

There will be 3 or 4 rounds of bidding each with 4 players. the number of rounds is subject to the number of teams we have participating in the comp.

Some confusion is being made over matches. Each week is a game. either SOD,T20 or Youth. Everyone plays each franchise one round. Fixtures will be made so each franchise plays a round with each other franchise and in different formats. I will be doing out fixtures once we know the teams that make up a franchise i will start to do a draw of franchise vs franchise for each round. i will then open a new thread. EAch franchise will have a deadline when there teams who are playing must be in so that round fixtures can be created and friendlies organised

okay i am working on the whole how it will work. But i have this. there will be 12 rounds.
Round 1 Senior Matches
Round 2 T20 Matches
Round 3 Youth Matches
Round 4 Senior
Round 5 T20
Round 6 Youth
Round 7 Senior
Round 8 T20
Round 9 Youth and so on you get the point. this is so that every team from every franchise gets to play against everyone, instead of R&B and others only playing me. This is so that weaker teams will still find enjoyment in the comp

Would it be worth having it so that Team A vs Team B in all 3 games (SOD, T20, YOD).  That would prob make it go longer than 1 FTP season

Now I get it. 4 captains choose who's in their teams via bidding. The better the team = the more money likely to be paid.
