I would tag Selwood first. He will probably take the roll in the center that Gazza had. He will relish this opportunity to take command in the center, he's a born leader.

Whilst floating the ideas re the center line what about Duncan then? More suited to the forward structure then?

It will be interesting to see what Scotty does with Mitch naste. I'll be watching him in the pre-season. I imagine he'll have his turn in the middle.

From memory. I think Menzel  was 1 of about 6 players who debuted for the cats last season. He showed real promise. I'm hoping these guys will put real pressure on guys like Hunt, Lonergan Mackie and Stokes. It may be harder to keep your place in the team this year. If some of these young guys don't get a game, they'll go somewhere else.

i would think the players that will rotate through the midfield will be

Chapam, Bartel, Corey, Selwood, Kelly, Byrnes, Varcoe, Stokes and Hogan ;)

reports are a little conflicting, all the hype was for him as a mid but then he got played as a fwd last year and in the interview with M.Brown he said he was working with Tomahawk and Menzel in the back up roles in the fwdline
