Lucas Cook

Summary

Pick 12 in this year's AFL draft, Cook has the potential with his his efficient use of the football to be a damaging tall forward, similar to Watts, for the Demons in the upcoming years.

He is apparently very versatile for 196cm, and kicked 9 goals in the U18 Championships. He also ranked in the Top 10 for effiency of kicking in the AFL's National combine in Canberra in October.

This was his current coach's comments on Cook:

"One of Lucas' great strengths is his efficiency with the football. Lucas is a very good user of the football, especially with the way the AFL game is going."

Lucas Cook Ballarat

The Crystal Ball:

Based on m0nty's fanplanner

Price: $157,500

Position: FWD

For a first round draft pick, and a tall at that, he could be seen as a little expensive for next season

Decision:

Unlikely for me, he may get some games next year, but being 196cm may mean that he may take a little longer to develop than other smaller midfielders usually take.

Undoubtedly a star for the future in the Demons young and impressive line-up...

Will you look at Cook next year?

Perhaps look at him during the year if he looks like debuting, but the Demons do have Watts, Jurrah, Bate, Pettered.... Doubt he'll get in.

Looks a good player for the Dees though, they really should be a force soon enough.

Beat me to it Fletch, was gonna do Cook in a couple of days :)

LiveTheDream

Not to mention tapscott who should be way ahead of him on the list
