Swallow vs Foley

Swallow (212k) vs Foley (283k)

Another option i am seriously considering is starting without swallow and going with foley instead, looks to be a very unique option. Swallow is said to have 'no weakness' and his season in the VFL speaks for itself. On the other hand, Foley is a central part of the richmond midfield and hasn't averaged under 88 in the last 4 years. Both have huge upside for their price and should be consistent scorers, whoever you pick. Personally, i've gone with both at this stage but it's still up in the air.

Thoughts??

Swallow is a must imo I may go both but I'm not convinced Foley will stay fit.

Well he has had a fair bit of time to recover and get back on the track in the latter part this year. As far as i know his preseason is underway. His durability hasn't been great the last 2 years but between 2006-2008 he played 21, 22 and 21 games. Honestly i don't plan on having him in my final side and at his price he'll only have to play 10 games before you've made a big profit, justifying my selection

I have Swallow locked in. I like Foley but might take my chances on rookies instead. Although, he is still a chance for my team.

Right now though, Swallow only.

yeh with the quality of the of rookies in the draft and the fact that ive already got Swan, Joey/Boyd/Selwood, and Anthony locked cant quite fit Foley in atm

im alittle worried about swallow only averaging 65 DT in the VFL... I like Foley, so if he is in round 1 I will probably go with him. Do we dare go near Brick Mclean again?

Foley's overdue for a change of luck, and we know he can play. At this stage both are locked in.

i reckon swallow is a lock. and will watch foley pre season, if fit and firing, he too is a lock.

i would go both if foley looks fit and ready to go during the pre-season, but if i had to choose 1 would definitely be swallow

I am just about locking in Swallow. Foley is more proven at AFL level (obviously) and has been a SC scorer, but those injuries make me turn away from me.

Swallow for me.
