I'm not sure about Smith. I haven't seen him play though. Makes it hard for me to pick him.

I reckon he'd be a good chance to start from round 1. Craig knows he has to bleed youth and Smith has alot to give to the side in which they can develop him. Craig wouldn't be very smart if Smith didn't play much this season. He's a good HB Flanker or even a straight out midfield. Even if he Smith is playing a half back sort of roll.  Theres plent of established players he will have to contend with.  Mckay, Tambling, Otten, Symes and theres also plays like Armstrong and Schmidt who were in and out of the team.  Id say hed only get games when there are injuries which maybe first couple of games of the season and thats it.  Its really hard to tell.
hence why i say there are safer options

I can see him getting games but it is between Polec, Gaff and Smith for a spot and i will probably go Gaff then Polec before him.
