Summary: David Mackay
Team: Adelaide        Birthdate: 25 Jul 1988
Height: 182cm          Weight: 75kg
Recruited: Oakleigh  State: VIC
Games: 61                Goals: 12

A little known winger who has been playing the majority of games for Adelaide past 3 years. I would suspect many wouldn't know who this bloke is. He is a dairly hard working player who gets his job done most weeks coasting along the wings. He does have a way of racking up 20+ possessions without the opposition really knowing. With the likes of Vince and Thompson in the middle for Adelaide, Mackay can do what he wants without drawing a tag. He is coming into his 4th AFL season and is only turning 23 next year so could really start to break free.

Although not the best kick of the ball, can score pretty consistently with the occasional mark and tackle in there. He is more efficent with his running and attacking game rather than his defensive game. Prefers to stay on the go rather than slow the tempo. In an injury riddle year this season, he managed only 6 out of 16 games with a score under 70. He started the year very well until injury struck. This injury stayed with him for the rest of the year impacting his scoring ability. If he stayed uninjured, I would of guessed he could of averaged at least 10 more than his 70.8 average in 2010. At the rate he was going, could of even pushed for an 90+ as he is pretty consistent.

The Crystal Ball:
Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $358,100
Position: Midfield

Between a rock and a hard place really. I believe he has talent but with the midfield this season, will be tough fitting him in anywhere. Between the Premiums, MPP's and rookies, at a very awkward price for a midfielder.

Decision:
I'm going to say a very unlikely. Although not a complete no, I reckon he'll break out this season if he goes through unscratched. But at that price, as I said before, not ideal.

If he finds form & can stay fit I'll look at him...

I agree with your decision HP. Very awkward price and doesn't have MPP. Very unlikely.

He was almost in my team at the beginning of last year, so I will list him as 50/50. Has potential and with Adelaide shredding some of their older players, he will be asked to step up. Will watch him, he is a touch expensive, but may be worth it.

no. looks like a good young player but as ive said b4. dont like that price range for SC, especially in the mids.

Very true but if he gets on top of it at 21-22 years old it could be time for a breakout year.  I got a feeling he could be the sort of player thatd do well in SC if he had a breakout year.
Considering hes a MID id asy no but maybe next year
