Summary:
184cm / 76kg

The talk was at the Carnival very few players played up to their reputations. Conca was one of those few. He put his body in well and managed to get the ball to advantage most of the time. If there was a pack, Conca was in it, doing his utmost to get it out to advantage.
Conca isn't express, but he isn't slow. His kicking is neat, but not overly long. His handball is very good: he could develop into a Greg Williams type (although he has considerably more pace than Williams and is much more likely to put on defensive pressure).

Conca can play small forward: he makes position quite well and is not bad overhead. However, he isn't going to take any pack marks.

Conca is a well rounded player with no weaknesses, many would say no strengths either but not true, he has good skills, finds the ball well is efficent, tackles strongly, and has reasonable atheltic ability.

Will slot nicely into the developing richmond midfield.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on m0nty's fanplanner

Price: 187,500

Position: MID

Decision:

I think Conca has to be picked by supercoaches because Richmond love their kids, and Conca will spearhead their new draftees.  Will get a great opportunity, and will score well from round 1.

cheers barlow

if he is fwd/mid, he should be in every single team.

Barlow 21

Yeah I`d definetly have him as a midfield instead of McNeil to link the FWD/MID lines. ;D

benjy251090

I think I will only get him if he is MPP as I can't justify getting 3 over 150K rookies with Swallow and Gaf likely to be in my team

Agreed Benjy, he is very pricey for a rookie. Preseason will sway my vote.

BoredSaint

on the short list but is a bit pricey

MajorLazer

Agree with the others. He is expensive but may be worth it if he has MPP.

Playing for Richmond will also help because he could play half forward and move into the midfield occasionally.

Boomz

Like him as a player & have watched him a fair bit in the WAFL but at that price I'll stay away unless he's MPP.

benjy251090

I guess I will be seeing between Gaff, Conca, Polec and all the other 100 - 150K rookies as I am fairly sure I am locking Swallow in, may get 2 of them depending on how much I have in the bank  :-\

Yeah I've got McNeil at the moment, only because Conca is a bit expensive...

+1 Can't have too many overpriced rookies, have to find some bargains too.

tferrier18

fwd/mid? isn't he a running half back?

MajorLazer

I thought he was more of a  smaller forward that can play midfield.
