Bloods followers, what do you reckon of the picks from a:
a) pure footy, &
b) fantasy prospects
points of view??

21   Jed Lamb
40   Luke Parker
57   Alex Johnson
73   Matt Spangher
101 Mike Pyke (rookie list elevation)

I really like the Jed Lamb pick but would think he's got to get past G Rohan and TDL in the queue for fwd spots, maybe even McNeil??

Don't know much about Parker or Johnson.

One i'm not so sure about is the delisted Spangher - some mates who are west coast supporters used to call him 'Spanner' and I saw no reason to disagree - just loved seeing him turn it over to people like McGlynn in the fwd line.   ;)

Lamb is good for a forward option. He'll have competition but isn't that a good thing? Shows you guys have good depth ;).

Parker from the Stingrays and think he was also Co-Captain 8). In and Under player who has leadership potential. Might not see alot of gametime but can certainly build to be a great team player.

Not a big fan of Spangher but Sydney have their way of turning ok players into useful ones. If he is given the confidence at the Swans, could be a good pick up. Should be reaching his peak soon so has a second chance.

Everything else is unimportant  :P

C'mon BP, we're being serious here!  ;)

Lamb is a gun... Great kick & going from what I've seen he is better than Rohan but thats just my opinion & he hasnt played at AFL level yet.

Parker was the guy I wanted ess to take at 31 and is a good in & under type mid.

Don't kow a lot about Johnson... ???

Agree with HP not a fan of Spangher but the swans could turn him around...

Shouldn't of mentioned Pyke then ;D ;D.

I would of loved Parker or Hallahan to come to Essendon. Both good in and under players and they are exactly who we are looking for.

I'm a fan of all Stingrays :D. I don't like his chances this year if Hawks have a fully fit midfield. Have a few in and under players like Lewis and Sewell so don't think he'll be needed much. However, should 1 or 2 go down with injuries, here's hoping he gets a call up :D.

Lamb should slot into the forwards early on. I would prefer to see Rohan play in the midfield anyway. Really looking to see if Lewis Johnston can force his way into the team.
As far as the Mike Pike debate, I loved him this year, but with a fit seaby/mumford and the new interchange rules he is going to struggle to get a game, which is a real shame.
