I've never heard it before but I get it.

Kinda like the old classic "Bring out the measuring tape boys".

Is a rookie midfield a real possibility this coming season?

Justin Bieber

People thought this year it could be pulled off. A massive risk nonetheless. Have to depend on all of them playing. I would say 4 in the mids at a max (just incase some play 2-3 rounds then are dropped). Having 9 rookies in the mids would really be a bold move by anybody. It can work out well but have to nail the rookies on the head to do so.

I would say a decent rookie midfield this year would have to include some of the following if not all:
Swallow, Bennell, Gaff, Polec, Conca, Heppell and Atley. Alot of the higher picked rookies, but they are more likely to play as they go to teams who could use the midfielders (well maybe not Atley going to the Roos but still.....).

Fremantle will have first round pre-season draft pick at 72 which means that they will get Jack Anthony

the live picks in the pre-season draft are as follows

pick 72 - Fremantle

pick 79 - Richmond

pick 86 - Hawthorn

pick 95 - Essendon

pick 105 - Gold Coast

The order of the draft doesnt go by the order in which the teams pass.  Passing just leaves a space free on the roster so you can pick up a player in the pre-season draft.  The order still goes on lowest to higher (on the ladder).  So the order will be - Gold coast, Richmond, Essendon, Hawthorn, Fremantle.

ummmm freo only drafted three new players too. also gaff is a jet and ready to play round 1,

We only drafted 3 players but remember we traded for 3 more as well for a total of 6 new players (plus 1 more to come in pre-season draft)

15,000 so by no means a success but a good effort for a lock and leave team from round 4 onwards :)

Cicjose

i did some research last year just at the start of the year but it is very hard to keep a track of your team from week to week and not make rash trades which cost me last year. this year i am going to be far more through with research and attempt to win the weekly prize come round 1

bomberboy0618
