Daniel Talia

Summary:

From Adelaide Assistant Coach David Noble:

Quote from: David Noble
He's a big strong, powerful, athletic defender or forward. We're just hoping his injuries settle down and we can get a clean run with what he needs to do. His preparation, attention to detail and motivation as a young person is equal to anything we've had. We've been really impressed with how he's handled himself and he should be good to go from the start of pre-season.

Has not played an AFL game yet, but sounds promising. Croweaters out there, you guys have an opinion?

The Crystal Ball:

Based on m0nty's fanplanner

Price: $87,500

Position: DEF/FWD

Talia could prove a very good structural part of any person's team. I doubt he will score high, but if he plays regularly with Adelaide on the rebuild, any score will do at that price, while allowing the flexibility to move people around the forward and back line given his likelihood of maintaining his MPP status. Are there early signs he is injury prone though?

Decision:

Has been in most of my drafts so far, and if he has a good preseason and is MPP, he is locked.

With Adelaide's departures, and a good pre-season he should get a game next year. MPP status will almost make him a lock for me. I had him on my short list last year, so he will be there again next year.

Torress

to 'lock'a rookie in this early is a big call. but if he is playing his mpp is awsome. i guess if xavier clarke is playing too u can almost lock him in as well with the mpp he offers.

Maca24

will strongly consider. think he will be very popular.

I had him pencilled in this year as well!!! Too bad he couldn't get games. Hopefully he can next year for a spot down back.

Let's hope not ;D.

MajorLazer

I had him last pre-season, but took him out for silvagni. Will have him this pre-season though

Read a post somewhere that said he'd done his knee recently??
Anyone heard any news??

Was just looking at him for possible B/F MPP.

Justin Bieber

I haven't heard a thing but that happens in Victoria for out of state teams ::).

I'll see if I can find anything over the net.

As far as I can find, hasn't got an injury. He had a knee injury this season though which kept him from action. Might just be that you were hearing about?

Although, nothing might be on the net yet so can't be 100% sure he doesn't have an injury.

Junktimer

cant see him getting a spot in my team.

there are better options and F/B MPP isnt that valuable.

even if i did want F/B MPP, I'd be more inclined to go with Retzlaff

bomberboy0618

found some stats on him from 2009.
In 2009 he played for vic metro in the u18 champs. He averaged 8.0 kicks a game at an efficiency rate of 72.5%, and he averaged 10.6 handballs a game at an efficiency rate of 83%. He averaged 2 behinds a game and tackled 3.6 times a game.
