What he means is you can't trade Jovanovic to Defoe, because Jovanovic isn't in your team anymore.
Your 3 strikers are Tevez, Balotelli and Kalinic. So which of those are you trading for Defoe?

You're lucky it hasn't effected your scores hilly or it would be a huge controversy!
Easiest thing to do is just write your team on a sticky and change it when you make trades. It's what I do ;)

espicially the Q game won by 3 but i dont think Kalinic had an effect..

I keep mine on a notepad on my screen. So whenever you feel the need to toy with your formations or know where to find your team, it's easy access :).
