great effort on the write up TOM :)

im guessing BJs elite takedown defence wasnt enuf to keep Fitch at bay otherwise it wouldve stayed standing and BJs striking is far superior...
also spewing George lost ino his striking isnt as good as Siver but his ground game is elite...

So does the Penn/Fitch fight go down as a draw?
or does Fitch get the win?

It's a draw as the majority of scores had it a draw. Hence "Majority Draw"

Penn won the first, probably eeked a tight second but he got DESTROYED in the 3rd. I think the Compustrike stats for the 3rd round were something like Fitch 134 strikes Penn 0.

Wow a draw isn't something you see often. Must have been a great fight!
Bloody Bisping won again. God I hate him!

valkorum

Are you sure those scores are correct for Fitch/Penn - arent title fights 5 rounds?

RiOtChEsS

non title BJ moved up in weight to 170lbs...

yep cant stand Bisping either id fight him on no training at the drop of a hat bcos he i cant stand the bs he talks and that smug showereating grin he rocks needs to be knocked... yes ino id get smashed but if i could just touch him once on the chin id Dan Henderson the shower out of him :P

j959

sounds like George couldn't get the takedowns he needed ...

looks like a Fitch v BJ rematch! am guessing marketing wise it's about all they can do with Fitch - i like him cos he knows how to win but guess casual fans would see him as boring ...

RiOtChEsS

yep same as GSP they r always ripping on him for being greased yada yada yada its about W's like Fitch said nobody knows u when u lose...

Yeah it was non-title as said. The two drawn cards showed Penn won the first two 10-9 and Fitch won the third 10-8

Preliminary card (TV Card)
Middleweight bout:  Nick Ring vs.  Riki Fukuda
Ring defeated Fukuda via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

this decision was a crock of shower Fukuda dominated him in every aspect yet lost :o wreaks of a setup to try and turn Ring into some sort of draw card bcos he was on TUF... that was one of the worst decisions ive ever seen.

What does Dana always say on TUF.  Don't leave it in the hands of the judges.

i totally agree but after the fight finished i wasnt even watching the decision bcos it was a no brainer, and then it dawned on me they had said Nick Ring and i was like wtf ??? if u saw the fight u would know that Rings spirit was broken before the 3rd round even started he fought with no urgency (Joe Rogan) bleeding under both eyes taken down countless times...

heaps of powering and moaning going on with rivera bisping still over an illegal knee in the fight MMA news seems to be running a different article everyday >:(

quick heads up for UFC 128 (next) Sun, 20 March 2011 our time.

will feature the UFC light heavyweight (93kg limit) title bout between Mauricio "Shogun" Rua v Jon "Bones" Jones.

Rua is defending the title for the first time since winning his rematch with Machida back in May 2010.
Jones is the new wunderkind on the block and it is very interesting to see the bookies put him in as a current favourite over Rua ... ????   ???

will send a 'proper' notice middle of next week ...  maybe i'll get to watch this time?

Justin Bieber

I've heard about Jones. Suppose to have high props. Don't remember much but remember watching something on him a few months ago naming him one to watch in the future.
