The light heavy fight he was trying to organise ended up a no go. The guy he challenged declined, even though the other guy made the first challenge. Makes no sense! ::)

Anyway he may have a fight lined up in Melbourne now in 4 weeks time. I'll keep you informed if it eventuates :)

obviously the opponent saw clips of your brother's previous fights after issuing an initial challenge and then chickened out?  ;)

Finding it very difficult to find a fight as the Melbourne one was a no go either. Then almost had a fight up in Sydney but the company don't want to pay for his flights and accommodation so I don't think he can afford to do it even though he can stay at my place.
Wants to go back to the US, but can't afford that either haha! The troubles of being an aspiring fighter!

Yeah, he's in a tough spot at the moment :-\. Hopefully he can have one lined up eventually, hopefully not long before he can get a sponsor, even if a small one to get him somewhere.

On a side note, UFC 162 later today and have some decent prelims. Shame Lamas Vs KZ is out, means Munoz Vs Boetsch moves off the prelims and onto the main card :(. FB prelims have Mike Pierce (on a win streak) and Seth Bacynski (not sure how to spell his last name) on there. Pierce is a better fighter as beat Seth last time, but Seth usually puts on a good fight/finish so could be a nice watch if anybody is up to watch it 8).

Anybody think Weidman will actually beat Silva today? :o.

Nah, Pierce's fight not shown on the prelims for Fuel, had to watch it on FB :P. Was able to see Melancon smash Bac though, didn't see that coming :o.

Pretty much same Marcz, just can't see Silva losing until it happens.

very bad crowd was booing hi when they went to interview him cause they knew he was just being a arrogant douche clowning round and it's what cost him

not the first time silva has done it now it finally caught up with him

yeah but in the interview after the fight was banging on about not wanting a rematch and not wanting to fight for the belt anymore
and being so tired and it's time for more time for his family and students

Yeah, if he actually tried to fight, who knows what may have happened! There is a conspiracy going around that he was purposely showboating and mocking, wanting to lose to pass on the torch to Weidman (as his age is probably catching up with him). Doubt that though :P :-X.

called it last year, spider coasted for WAY to long against shower opponents. Vitor was unlucky to get a random kick, hendo is inconsistant, and maia doesn't know how to fight standing. imo the only notable fighters he defended his title against.

either he comes back stronger and more focused, or now his mental game wont work on his opponents, the later i think more likley. He is great to watch, but doesn't deserve no.1 p4p status, feel free to argue and disagree.

P.S. with the recent batch of TUF kids and strikeforce merge (especially souza and rockhold), the division finaly has some excitment. not the most underdone divi anymore

Rich Franklin was pretty good back when he faced Silva ;).

Doesn't deserve p4p anymore as most have him falling after a loss. GSP or Jones would have to be it, I'd lean towards Jones who is rapidly cleaning out the LHW division :o.

Also if Silva doesn't want a rematch, think Vitor will be knocking on Weidman's door for a shot. Middleweight has some depth to it, just always had Silva at the top or some fighters losing a match before a title shot (e.g. Bisping lol).

When u respect a guy for dominating a sport u respect, only to see him seemingly lose respect for that sport, its disappointing...

Glad there is a new champ, i hope he loses it soon, like the LHW belt after Chuck "hot potato hot potato" :P
