haha i bet he doesnt get pushed as hard as Uriah, and im pretty sure the conversation going on behind them in the octagon was that of Uriah will be signed to a UFC contract anyway as it was all smiles with Dana doing all the talking... i liked Kelvin and Dylan's success as everyone looked passed them before they even fought them

Dylan was all heart - he needs to knuckle down and work on his technique.  You cant train heart and he has that in truckloads.

Loved how Kelvin got the rear-naked choke on Josh so quickly in the semi.  Josh was so full of himself.  I hope Kelvin gets a push cos I think he can do well.  Also keep in mind the kid is only 21.

agreed, couldnt stand Josh, good fighter but the "know-all" attitude and manipulation gave me the showers

yeah first time i seen a full TUF season as i am just starting this year to get more into the MMA/UFC scene
i thoroughly enjoyed TUF and my favs were kelvin and dylan
josh was  a arrogant dick
and hall was pretty cocky in the finale when in the 1st round he leant back on the cage with his hands low inviting kelvin in like his anderson silva or something

i taped them too so haven't seen all the main card besides some of bubba's fight and kelvin vs hall

saw some of the prelims too got them taped but i saw hester and dylan and barnett...so stilll need to watch josh vs casey though i know the result and read that casey gassed after 1 round again

TUF finale on today, prelims on Fuel, then switch over to FX for main event 8)
I was forced to miss it as was overseas :(. Also missed the FX or Fuel card that was in Europe. Was gutted that I was missing Mousasi Vs Gustaffson, but eased the pain a bit when Gus pulled out :-X.

The Ultimate Fighter Finale was one of the best fights I've seen from the TUF series!!
*SPOILER ALERT*

I am glad Kelvin won the contract.  I really enjoyed watching him be the underdog throughout the whole season and no-one giving him credit at all.  Dana was so obsessed with Uriah and being talked up as a contender immediately..... does this mean tht Kelvin immediately becomes a contender?
The hype behind Hall was unbelievable, but like Marcz, really enjoyed watching Dylan and Kelvin able to battle the odds and do so well! Great season of fights which drew me in alot better than last season of the American TUF.

That was yesterday and if anybody can watch the replay of the Prelims/Main Card I advise you do so!

SPOILERS:

Wow, that card was GREAT from start to finish of what I saw. Prelims even showed the FB ones, and had to watch replay for Main Card. Was really looking forward to this card due to some of the Prelims and main card fights.

Yoel Romero Palacio Vs Starks had a great finish as did quite alot of the matches on the card, tied UFC record for most finishes. Dillashaw, Benavidez and Mendes all coming from the same gym and finished heir opponents well. Dillashaw have been following since TUF, and looks like he's ready for the step up in competition, pretty technical. Benavidez's finish was a brutal body punch :o. Mendes stopped Elkins who I thought would have lasted longer, but Mendes has shown why he is one of the best featherweights in the world :-X. People asking for Mendes to Face the winner of Korean Zombie and Lamas, but if Lamas wins that fight he better get the title shot after taking out the 2 people who were set to take on Aldo for the title (Hioki turned it down and Koch couldn't fight Aldo due to an injury). Should have got it before Pettis -_-. Myles Jury another one from TUF, taken out two finalists in a row in Michael Johnson and Ramsey Nijem, but has dominated them when doing it :o.

For the main card, the Strikeforce guys certainly showed they can keep up with UFC. Although, Brown outclassed Mein and has found himself on quite a roll lately, won 5 straight. Although, against mid-level talent. Certainly shown improvement in his style and not rushing into things as hastly as he use to. Won fight of the night with Mein and I watched it and even though I knew the result (as watched replay of Main Card), there was some great action in there!! Thompson first person to knock out Nate Diaz :o :o. Certainly wasn't expected that, but those head kicks thrown landed hard :-X. For Cormier Vs Mir, was interested in that seeing Cormier. Despite being quite small for HW, controlled Mir quite easily. Mainly just out-clinched with him and out-boxed him, staying away from Mir's ground game. But if Velasquez remains at top of HW, Cormier has said he'll probably move down, which won't hurt him due to his size already.

Henderson Vs Melendez was pretty good! Haven't seen Melendez fight before, but from what I've read, he's one of the best lightweights in the world. Certainly gave Henderson all he can handle, losing the split decision. Certainly not going to hurt his chances in the UFC with that performance, and a great way for exposure on FOX for him. Henderson wins another close decision, but he won it and remains on top. Now he's set to face the Gray Maynard Vs TJ Grant winner. Grant has won a 4 or 5 in a row now while Maynard last beat Guida after losing to Edgar for the title. Was looking forward to that match anyway, but now has title implications :o.

So in short, if you haven't watched UFC Fox 7, I suggest you try and find a replay of it :P.

Thanks for the debrief HP - good to have you back!  ;)

I was a bit late getting to the casino (don't have foxtel  :P) so I came in towards the end of Mir vs Cormier  :(   ;)

can't believed I missed the Diaz knock-out, I'm a bit of a fan but never say no to seeing a finish of any sort for top-level fighters!  ;)

Henderson vs Melendez - was close but not that close that I understood the split decision - I can't see how one judge went 48-47 in Melendez's favour??!  ???

Close but fight-metrics alone had significant strikes way in Henderson's favour not to mention the power of his leg kicks, even sweeping Melendez to the ground one or two times ... definitely a re-match in order I would've thought but Melendez caught a lot of Henderson's kicks but just like Edgar vs Henderson I where Frankie did the same, Melendez also did nothing once he caught Hendo's leg ... :-X I know it's hard but if you can't do anything with it, why bother continuing to catch it??  ??? (reflex I s'pose?)  ;)

Ok, on the next ...

Jones vs Sonnen this Sunday!!!  ;D

Interested in Souza's and Rockhold's debut! Rocky getting Belfort and Souza getting Phillipou. Think Souza has improved his standup over past year or two, so will be tested well in that department if he chooses to stand :-X. Rocky being thrown to the dogs in his first fight, but can certainly see him at the top end of the middleweight division so should be interesting card.

And I don't mind Nate, he certainly isn't as bad as his brother!

Think some people had Melendez winning the first 3 rounds, but the fight stats have it in Henderson's favour. Was suprised how early on Melendez was able to grab Hendo's kicks and push him back. Think they catch it to try and tip the other guy off balance and get a take down if they are able to get them to the ground. Think it was the Carmont Vs Larkin fight, Carmont grabbed a leg and lifted it high but Larkin just wouldn't fall over :o. That showed quite alot of balance as in that instance, he remained standing, hopping to avoid being pushed off balance to the ground.

And thanks J, nice to be back on the forum more regularly 8).

yeah Souza just needs enough stand up to not get dominated, then he can mix take downs, cos nobody in the ufc would be game to get on the ground with him (except probs werdum)
Would never count out vitor against rocky, those old pride war horses are nuts.
yeah getting over lighter weight bouts but, just to flowerin even. unless McGregor can keep it up at ufc level. also rustam khabilov is always good to watch.
Also think this is the spiders last fight as a title holder..... boom I said it
mir wasn't a test for Cormier. Barnett and big foot are 25 times better

Justin Bieber

And Mir earned the same as Henderson for that event :o. This is when you include Hendo's 100k win bonus.... At least he's making more than the last few matches (Hendo) ::).

Belfort spoils all the fun, I was hoping Bisping would win that fight a while back :P.

On UFC 159, I saw Rustam's first match in the UFC when it happened. Anybody who hasn't, should take a look at how he handled Vinc Pichel... Those suplexes were just devastating! Hoping Davis can shut Vinny up, Vinny trash-talked Davis a while on twitter to get the matchup, and a win for him can boost him up the UFC rankings quite a bit at LHW.

Some solid fights on this card though but not as good as the Fox card that just passed :P.

silloc

also realy enjoying the chicks, the lack of weight and their awesome flexability, makes for really exciting ground game. they should bring straw weight in for our girl bec hyatt.

also LHW divi is so stacked, top ten is stupid. but i feel its unfair with jones, cows way to tall. i would imagine if he gets a few more wins, he will be forced up.

and 160 should be fun with the aus-nz boys
