Just saw this thread, anyone catch the Aldo vs Mendez fight, awesome! Mendez put it a great performance and if you didn't watch the fight and saw the 2 afterwards you would think Aldo lost for sure!

Yeah, I was out but luckily got back just in time to watch it! It was an awesome fight indeed!!

Aldo controlled it well but not like Mendes didn't keep it competitive, even dropped him a few times :o. Then they both called out McGregor afterwards ;D.

Yep, very impressive but he just couldn't get over the line - his improved boxing really impressed me - think they've got a new boxing coach at Team Alpha Male and that might explain TJ's improvement to take the UFC bantamweight title??

I was impressed with Mendez's crisp uppercut that he used to good effect.

Missed UFC Fight Night Rockhold vs Bisping from Sydney but that was apparently a corker.

Next one is Werdum v Hunt for interim heavyweight title - card looks a bit 'light on' but will probably still have a gander ...

Yeah, Duane Ludwig took over Alpha Male a few years ago as Head Coach. This was when they went undefeated with their fighters for a while and were scoring knockouts everywhere. He certainly helped out a heap of the guys, especially with their striking!

Caught the main card of Rockhold Vs Bisping, pretty good for the most part! Rockhold looked awesome and Bisping is humble in defeat. Couldn't catch the prelims but all finishes in the card, certainly was better than the OSP Vs Rua card, although that was a nice counter hook by OSP to drop Shogun :o :o :o. I thought it was a slip at first, but different angle shows the hook caught him!

Well there was a UFC, Bellator and WSOF event on yesterday if anybody caught it!

I was rooting for Hunt but had a feeling Werdum would be too much for him :(. Gastelum ran through Ellenberger and probably one of the most relevant TUF winners these days :o. Also had Lamas end Bermudez's like 6 match win streak :(. The card was pretty good from what I caught of it since I woke up late into it haha.

As for the other events, Brooks had a weird TKO over Chandler, where Chandler just stopped and put his hands up where Brooks just pounced on him :o. David Branch over at WSOF also KO'd Yushin Okami :o.

Just saw the intro to his opponent for the title, he seems to love the stand up but is wild and gets rocked but can certainly hand it out at the same time! Rob should be careful and get a sub in the 1st round I'm predicting ;).

Just a reminder for those interested in my bro's fight. Streaming starts at 8.30 (just over an hour) and I'm pretty sure he is 3rd in line to fight. His mate from Tassie is fighting first for the light heavyweight title! :)

For those who didn't watch Rob just won the championship in under 4 minutes via rear naked choke!!

By the way j, when you asked how he was going in the lead up I neglected to mention that he had re-broken the same hand in training so was unable to actually do much punching with it. They had said if he pulled out they would just replace him rather than reschedule the fight, so he didn't tell them it was broken and fought anyway. Madness!!

Damn, Rob that tough SOB! No wonder he went through with it, still gets his title match now can get his hand seen to.

Great stuff by him, another first round finish and a title next to his name :D. Surely should catch some attention if he defends it a few times. And prediction was right again, submission in the first 8). Wonder how he'd go in a longer match, since his matches tend to finish within the first 5 mins :P.
