Well that was The Ultimate Fighter Finale! The favourites won their fights for the contract (Julianna Pena and Chris Holdsworth). Main card was full of women fights with Jessamyn Duke and Raquel Pennington won their fights as well.

Sampo Vs Benoit won Fight of the Night award and I missed because it was a FB prelim :(. I enjoyed Yayha Vs Niinimaki though, was an awesome ground fight with a lot of excitement :D. If anybody is into BJJ, take a look at it 8).

Main Event was Nate Diaz Vs Gray Maynard, and Diaz brutalized him after he settled it. Rocked him, then pounced and kept landing clean shots flush on Maynard. He was pretty much just standing there or running away, with Diaz punching that face, Ref stopped it while Maynard was standing as he wasn't defending himself. 3 of Maynard's last 4 fights have ended by TKO/KO, so things may be catching up to him. Diaz certainly put himself back into the top of the division with that win!

Coming Saturday is the Aussie card!! Hunt headlining against Antonio Silva, not to mention Shogun Vs Te Huna. Also got Perosh Vs Bader and many others :D. Shame Whittaker had to be pulled from the card, but as it's a free card again, can't complain as looks to be pretty good overall!

So the trials for TUF happened last month. Sadly Rob wasn't picked as one of the four Aussie middleweights to represent us. He is one of two reserves (along with his coach), so if there is an injury before the show starts or during the show he (or his coach) gets to go :)

would also like to see dan kelly fight, but i think he's too old.

That fight was AWESOME!!! Had to watch it in like two parts because had to go out in between, but damn that was just a beastly effort by both of them.

Given most of the other Aussie-based fighters didn't do too well (besides Paleiei) :P.

Andrews was unlucky, I picked it straight away that his shoulder popped out.

Vas was also unlucky, flowerin stupid stoppage, I was in rage-town population angry man.

Manimal was always gonna get thumped, he was cutting down to flyweight when they called him up and told him he could be fighting, so he stopped cutting and then found out they wanted him for welterweight. flowerin lol. And Garcia looked like he walks around at high end middle weight.

Perosh vs Bader was always gonna end badly, Bader has been very unlucky recently and perosh is 41

Te Huna just got caught, he can't seem to make that next step up to fight a decent opponent, yet he dominates all the 2nd tier fights.

Super surprised by Palelei, I think pat barry needs to try for light heavy.

Yeah, Palelei was a shock but guess Barry's stand up as gone down recently compared to what it was a while ago.

Te Huna seems to be a mid-level LHW at the moment, as you said, falls against the upper guys. Don't think Shogun is back but that was a nice uppercut!

Didn't get to see the FB prelims as usually sleep til late :(. Doesn't sound like a good outting there and odds stacked against Manimal :o. That is some difference from cutting to flyweight then going back to welterweight...

Oh btw did everyone see they are bringing in strawweight girls? Which is great cos all my favorite chick fighters are at 115, watched invicta 7 the other day, flowerin tecia torres is adorably brutal, and jojo calderwood is also flowerin classy. Plus 2 aussie girls in bec hyatt and alex chambers.

Yeah, read about it today! Dana said he'd be bringing this one next and it'll be the next TUF season! They signed 11 over from Invicta and think they have another 5 spots to fill and actual tournament setting with the winner getting the title!

Haven't seen much of them although know some of them are meant to be great, I can always catch up on Invicta stuff as apparently they upload entire events and everything to youtube :o :o :o.

also realy enjoying the chicks, the lack of weight and their awesome flexability, makes for really exciting ground game. they should bring straw weight in for our girl bec hyatt.

also LHW divi is so stacked, top ten is stupid. but i feel its unfair with jones, cows way to tall. i would imagine if he gets a few more wins, he will be forced up.

and 160 should be fun with the aus-nz boys

Bec's fan involvement got me into wmma and onto all those other girls, she posts about friends of hers on Facebook and is really down to earth. She nearly replies to EVERY post on her wall, I only asked her the other month when she's fighting next and she said something along the lines of "invicta 8 early 2014 probs, but hopefully not" at the time I though she meant she'd fill in for injury in invicta 7, but now i'm guessing she already knew more about UFC.

DID YOU GUYS HEAR?!?!?! GSP relinquishing his title to take a step away from the cage. Didn't say he's retiring fully, but I expect it more than likely. Had an epic career and going out on top is how it should be if he's not there mentally. Better than going on further and tarnishing his great record.

Hendricks Vs Lawler at UFC 171 for the vacated title next year!

Today is the Fox Card with the Flyweight title on the line for those interested! The match I was looking forward to is gone (Brown Vs Condit) but top two fights should be great and have some really good matches on there. Faber Vs McDonald the one that has my interest the most followed by the Flyweight title match!

Has alot of the smaller weight classes so may not be for everybody's taste :P.
