That Which Doesn't Kill Us

I have to admit, I really admire the way the cats have conducted themselves the last few months.
It's been a horrendous time for us since the end of the season, but when you look at it, we have a new coach which everyone down here is excited about, we've kept Sando and have a terrific coaching staff. Balmy must be pulling his hair out but has been cool and measured with the media.
We didn't really need this thing with Bartell, but it wasn't unexpected.
Varco will still be ready for round 1. Our 3 recruits who were badly injured last year are all ready for a big pre season.
There is an air of excitement down here, I get the impression that the cats are ready for 2011.

You would love it if the Cats imploded this year wouldn't you oss? Well, bad luck, because the next time we play you we are gonna kick your sorry asse ;D

I wouldn't go that far Bunyip but I agree Geelong have handled themselves very well led by Costa whose demeanor is first class.

That said I think Geelong will be an easier team to defeat this year than last year unless Blake finally proves he is better than an average ruckman, that Stevie J & Chapman can hold off injuries on their damaged bodies and Corey can regain his best form. The depth is just not there to cover losses anymore so you have to be a bit more lucky.

Actually I would love a Collingwood v Geelong Grand Final. It feels like it should happen, yes?

Nah, in seriousness, the Cats won't fade away fast.

bunyip

The Cats won't fade away at ALL oss. The Maggies had better watch out, they played above themselves last year so won't improve. Geelong are not the only team that will overtake you next season.
And with Swanny AND Pendles playing for GWS in 2012 it looks like another decade in the wilderness. Not to worry though, you always have the memories :)

Lol, desperate sledges I detect :)

Very desperate.

Also technically wrong, 2010 is the start of a new decade not the end. As far as I make it the ten years between 2000 & 2009 make up the decade..

The decade has started off very nicely indeed, long may it continue.

bunyip

Depends what side of the Barwon you live on. My decade actually started in 2007. So far we're not doing to bad. :)
